تفصیلات کے مطابق پنجاب حکومت نے ٹیکس چوری اور ٹیکس فراڈ کرنے والوں کے خلاف کریک ڈاؤن کا فیصلہ کرتے ہوئے میرج ہالز، مارکیز، فارم ہاؤسز اور بڑی فوڈ چینز کے گرد گھیرا تنگ کر دیا ہے، جہاں اب ہر ٹرانزیکشن کا مکمل حساب رکھا جائے گا۔
وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کی زیر صدارت پنجاب ریونیو کلیکشن سے متعلق ایک اہم اجلاس ہوا، جس میں ٹیکس چوری روکنے کے لیے ان بڑے اداروں میں خصوصی کیمرے نصب کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے۔
اجلاس میں جعلی رسیدیں دینے اور سیلز چھپانے والوں کے خلاف سخت کارروائی کی منظوری دی گئی ہے، جبکہ بڑے ریسٹورنٹس میں کیش کے بجائے ڈیجیٹل پیمنٹ کو لازمی قرار دینے پر بھی سنجیدگی سے غور کیا جا رہا ہے۔
اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز کا کہنا تھا کہ “جب دنیا کیش سے ڈیجیٹل ادائیگیوں پر جا سکتی ہے تو پاکستان کیوں نہیں؟”
انہوں نے واضح کیا کہ ٹیکس چوری پر کوئی سمجھوتہ (نو ٹالرنس) نہیں ہوگا، اور جدید ڈیجیٹل سسٹم اور کیمرے اس چوری کو پکڑیں گے۔
انہوں نے پی آر اے کو جدید ٹیکنالوجی سے لیس کرنے، عملہ بڑھانے اور ٹیکس وصولی کی رپورٹ ہر ہفتے پیش کرنے کا حکم بھی دیا۔
پنجاب ریونیو اتھارٹی نے بریفنگ کے دوران بتایا پنجاب حکومت نے نئے مالی سال 27-2026 کے لیے 528.5 ارب روپے کا بھاری ریونیو ہدف مقرر کیا ہے ، پنجاب ریونیو کلیکشن میں 38 فیصد کا نمایاں اضافہ ہوا ہے، جس سے وصولی 346 ارب روپے تک پہنچ گئی ہے۔
پی آر اے کا دائرہ کار 10 اضلاع سے بڑھا کر اب 26 اضلاع تک وسیع کر دیا گیا ہے، ٹیکس نیٹ کو مضبوط کرنے کے لیے اتھارٹی میں انٹیلی جنس، ٹیکس پیئر آڈٹ اور لیگل ونگ قائم کیے جا چکے ہیں۔
وزیر اعلیٰ نے پی آر اے کی مجموعی کارکردگی پر اطمینان کا اظہار کیا، تاہم انہوں نے ہدایت کی کہ عوام میں ٹیکس کی آگاہی بڑھانے کے لیے میڈیا ونگ کو مزید مؤثر بنایا جائے اور کسی بھی کارروائی کی جامع وجوہات میڈیا کے سامنے لائی جائیں۔

According to details, the Punjab government has decided to crack down on tax evasion and tax fraud and has tightened the noose around marriage halls, marquees, farmhouses and big food chains, where now every transaction will be fully accounted for.
An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif regarding Punjab Revenue Collection, in which it was decided to install special cameras in these big institutions to prevent tax evasion.
The meeting approved strict action against those who give fake receipts and hide sales, while serious consideration is also being given to making digital payments mandatory instead of cash in big restaurants.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said, “When the world can move from cash to digital payments, why not Pakistan?”
She clarified that there will be no compromise (zero tolerance) on tax evasion, and modern digital systems and cameras will catch this theft.
He also ordered the PRA to be equipped with modern technology, increase staff and submit tax collection reports every week.
The Punjab Revenue Authority said during the briefing that the Punjab government has set a huge revenue target of Rs 528.5 billion for the new fiscal year 2026-27, Punjab revenue collection has increased significantly by 38 percent, due to which the collection has reached Rs 346 billion.
The scope of the PRA has been expanded from 10 districts to 26 districts now, and intelligence, taxpayer audit and legal wings have been established in the authority to strengthen the tax net.
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of the PRA, however, he directed that the media wing should be made more effective to increase tax awareness among the public and comprehensive reasons for any action should be brought before the media.
