Big defeat for BJP in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir

بھارت کے غیرقانونی طور پر زیر قبضہ جموں و کشمیر میں ہونے والے نام نہاد انتخابات میں بی جے پی کو بھاری شکست کا سامنا ہے۔کانگریس- نیشنل کانفرنس اتحاد نے نصف حد عبور کر لی ہے اور 90 میں سے 49 سیٹیں حاصل کر کے اسمبلی انتخابات جیت کر حکومت بنانے کے لیے تیار ہے، ان میں سے 42 سیٹیں نیشنل کانفرنس، 6 انڈین نیشنل کانگریس اور ایک کمیونسٹ پارٹی آف انڈیا کی ہے۔
اگست 2019ء میں علاقے کی خصوصی حیثیت کے خاتمے کے بعد ہونے والے پہلے انتخابات میں ووٹروں نے بھارتیہ جنتا پارٹی کو مسترد کر دیا ہے، اب تک سامنے آنے والے رجحانات کے مطابق نیشنل کانفرنس اورکانگریس اتحاد کو 90 نشستوں میں سے 49 پر برتری حاصل ہے۔
جموں و کشمیر میں 2014 کے بعد پہلے اسمبلی انتخابات تین مرحلوں میں ہوئے، 18 ستمبر کو ہونے والے ابتدائی مرحلے میں 24 سیٹوں کے لیے ووٹنگ ہوئی، اس کے بعد 25 ستمبر کو دوسرے مرحلے میں 26 سیٹوں پر ووٹنگ ہوئی، بقیہ 40 سیٹوں کے لیے تیسرا مرحلہ یکم اکتوبر کو ہوا۔
انتہائی متوقع انتخابات میں اہم دعویدار کانگریس-نیشنل کانفرنس اتحاد، پیپلز ڈیموکریٹک پارٹی (PDP) اور بھارتیہ جنتا پارٹی (BJP) تھے، یہ انتخاب جموں و کشمیر کو دو مرکز کے زیر انتظام علاقوں جموں و کشمیر اور لداخ میں تقسیم ہونے کے پانچ سال بعد ہوا ہے۔
انتخابات کے بعد اتحاد کے امکانات پر تبصرہ کرتے ہوئے، نیشنل کانفرنس (NC) کے صدر فاروق عبداللہ نے کہا کہ اگر ضرورت پڑی تو ان کی پارٹی محبوبہ مفتی کی PDP کے ساتھ مل کر خطے میں حکومت بنانے کے لیے تیار ہے۔
ہندو اکثریتی جموں میں بی جے پی کو حمایت حاصل ہے لیکن وادی کشمیر میں کسی گروپ کی حمایت نہیں ہے۔ جیسا کہ نتیجہ نکلا ہے، دوسری جماعتوں اور ان کے اتحادوں کی جیت مقبوضہ کشمیر میں بی جے پی کی پانچ سالہ سرمایہ کاری اور سیاسی انجینئرنگ کی مکمل ناکامی کا باعث بنے گی۔
بی جے پی کے حق میں نتائج بدلنے کے لیے پوری ریاستی مشینری کو تعینات کیا گیا اور محکمہ پولیس میں تقرر و تبادلے کیے گئے تھے لیکن کشمیریوں نے خصوصی حیثیت کی منسوخی کو مسترد کر دیا اور بی جے پی کو شکست ہوئی۔

In the so-called elections held in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP is facing a heavy defeat. The Congress-National Conference alliance has crossed the halfway mark and won 49 out of 90 seats in the assembly elections. It is poised to win and form the government, of which 42 seats belong to the National Conference, 6 to the Indian National Congress and one to the Communist Party of India.
Voters have rejected the Bharatiya Janata Party in the first elections since the end of the special status of the region in August 2019. According to the trends so far, the National Conference and Congress alliance has won 49 of the 90 seats.
The first assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir since 2014 were held in three phases, with voting for 24 seats in the first phase on September 18, followed by voting for 26 seats in the second phase on September 25, remaining 40 seats. The third phase took place on October 1.
The main contenders in the highly anticipated election were the Congress-National Conference alliance, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), five years after the partition of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. It happened later.
Commenting on the prospects of a post-election alliance, National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah said his party was ready to form a government in the region with Mehbooba Mufti’s PDP if needed.
BJP enjoys support in Hindu-majority Jammu but no group in Kashmir Valley. As it turns out, the victory of the other parties and their alliances will lead to a complete failure of BJP’s five-year investment and political engineering in Occupied Kashmir.
The entire state machinery was deployed and transfers were made in the police department to swing the results in favor of the BJP, but Kashmiris rejected the cancellation of special status and the BJP was defeated.
