If someone does not respect the judiciary, then do not expect from us: Chief Justice Lahore High Court

پنجاب جوڈیشل اکیڈمی میں منعقدہ تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے چیف جسٹس ملک شہزاد احمد خان کا کہنا تھا کہ پنجاب میں 14 لاکھ مقدمات، ججز کی کمی کا سامنا ہے، ہڑتالوں سے لوگ اپنے حقوق سے محروم ہو جاتے ہیں، مجھے یقین ہے کہ 90 فیصد وکلا اچھے لوگ ہیں، ان وکلا کا مشکور ہوں جنہوں نے ہڑتال کلچر کو ختم کرنے میں مدد کی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ کوئی جج کسی پریشر میں نہ آئے، مجھ سمیت ہر جج کے دل میں وکیل کا احترام ہے، ہم کسی بار، کسی ادارے، کسی حکومت کے ساتھ لڑائی نہیں چاہتے، ہمارے دل میں سب کا احترام ہے، تالی دونوں ہاتھوں سے بجتی ہے، اگر کوئی عدلیہ کا احترام نہیں کرے گا تو ہم سے بھی توقع نہ رکھے، ہم پھر قانون کے مطابق چلیں گے۔
جسٹس ملک شہزاد احمد خان کا کہنا تھا کہ آپس کی لڑائی سے ادارے کمزور ہوتے ہیں، ان سے ہوشیار رہیں جو اداروں کو آپس میں لڑانا چاہتے ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ آزاد عدلیہ کے خواب کی تعبیر کیلئے سب کو اپنا اپنا حصہ ڈالنا ہے، یہ عدالتی نظام کسی طاقتور کیلئے نہیں کمزور کیلئے بنایا گیا ہے، طاقتور اپنا حق لے لیتا ہے لیکن مظلوم کو اس نظام میں آنے کی ضرورت پڑتی ہے، ہر پاکستانی شہری کو حق ہے کہ اس کو قانونی تحفظ حاصل ہو۔

Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan while addressing the function organized at Punjab Judicial Academy said that Punjab is facing 1.4 lakh cases, shortage of judges, people are deprived of their rights due to strikes, I am sure that 90% Lawyers are good people, thanks to the lawyers who helped end the strike culture.
He said that no judge should come under any pressure, every judge, including me, has respect for the lawyer in his heart, we do not want a fight with any bar, any institution, any government. If someone doesn’t respect the judiciary, don’t expect us to, we will follow the law again.
Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan said that institutions are weakened by fighting among themselves, beware of those who want to make institutions fight among themselves.
He said that everyone has to contribute to the realization of the dream of an independent judiciary. This judicial system is made for the weak and not for the powerful. Every Pakistani citizen has the right to be protected by law.
