Five employees, including the Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail, have been dismissed

اڈیالہ جیل کے لاپتہ ڈپٹی سپرنٹنڈنٹ محمد اکرم، اسسٹنٹ سپرنٹنڈنٹ ریاض خان اور 2 وارڈرز نوکری سے برطرف کر دیئے گئے۔
ہوم سیکرٹری پنجاب نورالامین مینگل نے نوکری سے برخاستگی کا نوٹیفکیشن بھی جاری کر دیا۔
ذرائع کے مطابق افسران کو جیل میں قتل کی انکوائری میں قصوروار ثابت ہونے پر نوکری سے برخاست کیا گیا، جیل افسران کے خلاف 29 فروری کو ذہنی مریض قیدیوں کے سیل میں حوالاتی کے قتل پر انکوائری جاری تھی۔
آئی جی جیل خانہ جات پنجاب نے قتل کے واقعہ پر انکوائری کا حکم دے رکھا تھا، انکوائری میں اس وقت کے ڈپٹی سپرنٹنڈنٹ ایگزیکٹو محمد اکرم سمیت 7 ملازمین کو قصوروار قرار دیا گیا تھا جبکہ 4 کو نوکری سے فارغ کرنے کی سفارش کی گئی تھی۔
انکوائری رپورٹ کی روشنی میں مجاز اتھارٹی نے 30 اگست کو ملازمین کو شوکاز نوٹسز جاری کر کے جواب طلبی کی تھی، ڈائریکٹر جنرل ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف مانیٹرنگ، ہوم ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی ذاتی سماعت میں بھی ملازمین پیش ہوئے جبکہ ڈپٹی سپرنٹنڈنٹ غیر حاضر رہے۔
ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ رپورٹ کی روشنی میں سابق ڈپٹی سپرنٹنڈنٹ اڈیالہ جیل محمد اکرم، آفیسر انچارج نفسیاتی وارڈ اسسٹنٹ سپرنٹنڈنٹ جیل ریاض خان کو نوکری سے برخاست کر دیا گیا، وارڈر ناصر محمود بارک انچارج کو ملازمت سے برطرف کیا گیا، وارڈر امیر عباس بیٹ ڈیوٹی شفٹ کو بھی ملازمت سے فارغ کر دیا گیا۔
ذرائع کے مطابق نائٹ ڈیوٹی افسر اسسٹنٹ سپرنٹنڈنٹ محمودالحسن کو دو سال، ہیڈ وارڈر واجد محمود کو ایک سال سروس ضبط کرنے کی سزا بھی دی گئی۔

Punjab Home Secretary Nurul Amin Mengal also issued a notification of dismissal from the job.
According to the sources, the officers were dismissed after being found guilty of murder in the prison inquiry, the inquiry against the prison officers for the murder of Hawalati in the cell of mentally ill prisoners on February 29 was going on.
IG Prisons Punjab had ordered an inquiry into the murder incident, in which 7 employees including the then Deputy Superintendent Executive Muhammad Akram were found guilty while 4 were recommended to be dismissed.
In the light of the inquiry report, the competent authority had issued show cause notices to the employees on August 30 and sought their response. The employees also appeared in the personal hearing of the Director General Directorate of Monitoring, Home Department, while the Deputy Superintendent was absent.
Sources say that in the light of the report, the former Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail Muhammad Akram, the Officer-in-Charge of the Psychiatric Ward, the Assistant Superintendent of Jail Riaz Khan, were dismissed from their jobs, Warder Nasir Mahmood Barak was dismissed from his job, Warder Amir Abbas Bat. The duty shift was also dismissed.
According to the sources, night duty officer Assistant Superintendent Mehmoodul Hasan was also sentenced to two years of service, Head Warder Wajid Mehmood one year.
