Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Qaiser announced the convening of a jirga on the issue of cross-border trade on July 19.
پشاور میں تاجروں کے اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے اسد قیصر کا کہنا تھا کہ خیبرپختونخوا کے تاجروں کو درپیش مسائل کے حل کے لیے وزیراعلیٰ سے ملاقات کرکے مؤثر اقدامات کیے جائیں گے، کیونکہ موجودہ حالات میں یہ صرف سیاست نہیں بلکہ بقا کا مسئلہ بن چکا ہے۔
اُنہوں نے کہا کہ ان کی حکومت کے دور میں غلام خان، انگور اڈا اور طورخم بارڈرز پر سہولیات میں اضافہ کیا گیا جبکہ افغانستان کے ساتھ برآمدات 1.7 ارب ڈالر تک پہنچ گئی تھیں۔
رہنما تحریک انصاف کا کہنا تھا کہ نے کہا کہ جب تک افغانستان اور وسطی ایشیائی منڈیوں تک رسائی بحال نہیں ہوتی، تاجروں کی معاشی حالت بہتر نہیں ہو سکتی۔
اسد قیصر نے کہا کہ قومی اسمبلی میں سوال اٹھایا ہے کہ کیا اس وقت بھارت کے ساتھ تجارت مکمل طور پر بند ہے، تنازعات اپنی جگہ لیکن تاجروں کو سہولیات فراہم کرنا ضروری ہے، وزیراعظم سے حالیہ ملاقات میں فاٹا پاٹا پر ٹیکسوں کے نفاذ کا معاملہ بھی اٹھایا گیا اور مطالبہ کیا گیا کہ افغانستان کے ساتھ تعلقات کو سفارتی سطح پر بہتر بنا کر کاروباری سرگرمیاں متاثر نہ ہونے دی جائیں۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ فاٹا پاٹا کے تاجروں اور عوام کے حالات پہلے ہی مشکلات کا شکار ہیں جبکہ بیشتر بارڈرز بند ہیں، ایسے میں پشاور کا تاجر لاہور اور کراچی کے تاجروں کا مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتا،دہشت گردی اور بارڈرز سے متعلق معاملات پالیسی ایشوز ہیں جن کے مستقل حل کی ضرورت ہے۔
رہنما تحریک اںصاف نے کہا کہ پاک افغان ٹرانزٹ ٹریڈ میں ایسی شق شامل کی گئی تھی جس کے تحت پاکستانی ٹرانسپورٹ کو وسطی ایشیا تک رسائی مل سکے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ڈرائی پورٹ کی مکمل فعالیت کے بغیر تاجروں کے مسائل حل نہیں ہوں گے۔
اسد قیصر کا کہنا تھا کہ آئندہ مالی سال کے بجٹ میں سب سے زیادہ فنڈز پولیس کے لیے مختص کیے گئے ہیں جبکہ وفاق پر خیبرپختونخوا کے 434 ارب روپے واجب الادا ہیں،انہوں نے اعلان کیا کہ بارڈرز سے متعلق مسائل پر 19 جولائی کو جرگہ بلایا جائے گا۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ وہ بلوچستان میں کسانوں، تاجروں اور مختلف طبقات سے بھی ملاقاتیں کریں گے، انہیں کسی سرٹیفکیٹ کی ضرورت نہیں، ان کے لیے سب سے پہلے پاکستان ہے، اور وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ دہشت گردی اور امن و امان کے مسائل کے حل کے لیے جامع پالیسیاں مرتب کی جائیں۔
Addressing a meeting of traders in Peshawar, Asad Qaiser said that effective steps will be taken by meeting the Chief Minister to resolve the problems faced by traders of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, because in the current situation, it has become a matter of survival, not just politics.
He said that during his government, facilities were increased at Ghulam Khan, Angor Adda and Torkham borders, while exports with Afghanistan reached $1.7 billion.
The PTI leader said that until access to Afghanistan and Central Asian markets is restored, the economic condition of traders cannot improve.
Asad Qaiser said that a question has been raised in the National Assembly whether trade with India is completely closed at this time, disputes have their place, but it is necessary to provide facilities to traders. In a recent meeting with the Prime Minister, the issue of imposing taxes on FATA and PATA was also raised and it was demanded that relations with Afghanistan be improved at the diplomatic level and business activities should not be affected.
He said that the conditions of the traders and people of FATA and PATA are already facing difficulties while most of the borders are closed, in such a situation, a trader from Peshawar cannot compete with traders from Lahore and Karachi, issues related to terrorism and borders are policy issues that need a permanent solution.
The leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf said that a clause was included in the Pak-Afghan Transit Trade under which Pakistani transport could get access to Central Asia. He added that the problems of traders will not be solved without the full functionality of the dry port.
Asad Qaiser said that the highest funds have been allocated for the police in the budget of the next financial year, while the federation owes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rs 434 billion. He announced that a jirga will be convened on July 19 on border-related issues.
He further said that he will also meet farmers, traders and different sections of the society in Balochistan. They do not need any certificate, Pakistan comes first for them, and they want comprehensive policies to be formulated to solve the problems of terrorism and law and order.
