Strike of grain markets against withholding tax

ودہولڈنگ ٹیکس کیخلاف غلہ منڈیوں کی ہڑتال کا آج پہلا روز ہے، ہڑتال کے باعث اشیائے ضروریہ کی دستیابی متاثر ہونے کا خدشہ پیدا ہو گیا۔غلہ منڈیوں کے تاجر بھی ودہولڈنگ ٹیکسز کے خلاف سرگرم ہو گئے، بجٹ میں لگائے گئے ودہولڈنگ ٹیکس کے خلاف ہول سیل گروسرز ایسوسی ایشن کی ملک گیر ہڑتال کی کال پر غلہ منڈیوں میں تالے پڑ گئے۔
ہڑتال کے باعث لاہور کی اجناس کی سب سے بڑی تھوک مارکیٹ اکبری منڈی مکمل طور پر بند ہے، اکبری منڈی کے تاجروں نے ود ہولڈنگ ٹیکس کے خلاف تین دن کی مکمل ہڑتال کا اعلان کیا ہوا ہے۔
آج سے 2 اگست تک لاہور سمیت پنجاب اور ملک بھر کی تمام غلہ منڈیاں بھی مکمل بند رہیں گی، اکبری منڈی کی ہڑتال سے اشیائے ضروریہ کی سپلائی متاثر ہو کر رہ گئی۔ ہڑتال طویل ہونے پر پرچون مارکیٹ میں دالوں، گھی، چاول اور مصالحہ جات سمیت دیگر اشیائے ضروریہ کی دستیابی متاثر ہونے کا خدشہ پیدا ہو گیا ہے۔

Today is the first day of grain market strike against the withholding tax, due to the strike there is a fear of affecting the availability of essential commodities. Traders of the grain markets also became active against the withholding tax, they are protesting against the withholding tax imposed in the budget. The grain markets were locked on a nationwide strike call by the Sale Grocers Association.
Due to the strike, Akbari Mandi, the largest wholesale market of commodities in Lahore, is completely closed. The traders of Akbari Mandi have announced a three-day complete strike against the withholding tax.
From today till August 2, all grain markets in Punjab and across the country including Lahore will be completely closed. Due to the prolonged strike, the availability of pulses, ghee, rice and other essential items including spices in the retail market is feared to be affected.
