سپریم کورٹ نے فیصل واوڈا اور مصطفیٰ کمال کو توہین عدالت پر شوکاز نوٹس جاری کرتے ہوئے ذاتی حیثیت میں طلب کر لیا، دوران سماعت چیف جسٹس نے ریمارکس دیئے کہ تنقید کرنی ہے تو سامنے آ کر کریں۔چیف جسٹس قاضی فائز عیسٰی کی سربراہی میں 3 رکنی بنچ نے سینیٹر فیصل واوڈا کی پریس کانفرنس پر لئے گئے ازخود نوٹس کیس کی سماعت کی، جسٹس عرفان سعادت خان اور جسٹس نعیم اختر افغان بنچ کا حصہ ہیں۔
سماعت کے دوران چیف جسٹس نے فیصل واوڈا کی پریس کانفرنس کی تفصیلات طلب کر لیں۔
اس موقع پر ایڈیشنل اٹارنی جنرل عامر رحمان سپریم کورٹ کے 3 رکنی بنچ کے روبرو پیش ہوئے، چیف جسٹس نے ایڈیشنل اٹارنی جنرل سے مکالمہ کیا کہ کیا آپ نے پریس کانفرنس سنی؟ توہین عدالت ہوئی یا نہیں؟ ایڈیشنل اٹارنی جنرل نے جواب دیا کہ مجھے جو ویڈیو ملی ہے اس کے متعلقہ حصے میں آواز نہیں تھی، کچھ حصہ خبروں میں سنا ہے۔
