The lady policeman’s killer turned out to be a police constable.
صوبائی دارالحکومت کے علاقے ہربنس پورہ میں رشتہ کے تنازع پر دوست نے فائرنگ کرکے لیڈی کانسٹیبل کو قتل کردیا۔
پولیس کی جانب سے ابتدائی تفتیش کے مطابق مقتولہ کی شناخت 24 سالہ ثمن کے نام سے ہوئی جو شاہدرہ کی رہائشی تھی، لیڈی کانسٹیبل آج چھٹی پر تھی جو اپنے دوست کیساتھ موٹرسائیکل پر جارہی تھی، ثمن کو رشتہ کے تنازعہ پر ملزمان نے قتل کیا گیا، مزید تفتیش جاری ہے۔
عینی شاہدین کے مطابق لیڈی کانسٹیبل موٹرسائیکل پر ایک نوجوان کے ساتھ آئی اور پھر دونوں کے درمیان جھگڑا ہوا، نوجوان نے لیڈی کانسٹیبل پر قریب ایک پارک میں تشدد کیا، مقامی لوگوں نے نوجوان کو منع کیا اورلڑکی سے معافی مانگنے کا کہا تو نوجوان نے پسٹل نکال کر پہلے ہوائی فائرکیے جس سے مقامی لوگ منتشر ہوگئے۔
پھر نوجوان نے لیڈی کانسٹیبل کے پہلے پاؤں میں اور پھر سرمیں تین گولیاں ماریں۔ نوجوان قتل کی واردات کے بعد جائے وقوعہ سے فرار ہوگیا۔
ایس پی کینٹ اویس شفیق بھاری نفری کے ہمراہ فوری جائے وقوعہ پر پہنچ گئے، لاش کو تحویل میں لیکر پوسٹمارٹم کیلئے ہسپتال منتقل کردیا گیا۔
ایس پی کینٹ اویس شفیق نے کہا کہ وقوعہ کی تمام پہلوؤں کو مد نظر رکھتے ہوئے تحقیقات کی جا رہی ہے، ایس ڈی پی او باغبانپورہ کی سربراہی میں ملزمان کو فوری گرفتار کرنے کے لیے ٹیم تشکیل دے دی گئی ہے۔
آئی جی پنجاب ڈاکٹر عثمان انور نے واقعے کا نوٹس لیکر سی سی پی او لاہور سے رپورٹ طلب کرلی۔
آئی جی پنجاب نے ڈی آئی جی آپریشنز کو فائرنگ میں ملوث ملزمان کی فوری گرفتاری کا حکم دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ واقعہ کی ہر پہلو سے تفتیش کرتے ہوئے ملزمان کو جلد از جلد گرفتار کیا جائے۔
ڈاکٹر عثمان انور کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ سیف سٹی کیمروں کی فوٹیج سمیت تمام شواہد کو ملزمان کی گرفتاری کے لئے بروئے کار لایا جائے، لواحقین کو انصاف کی فراہمی ترجیحی بنیادوں پر یقینی بنائی جائے۔
A lady constable was shot dead by a friend over a relationship dispute in Harbanspora area of the provincial capital.
According to the preliminary investigation by the police, the victim was identified as 24-year-old Thaman, a resident of Shahdara, the lady constable was on leave today, who was going on a motorcycle with her friend. Thaman was killed by the accused over a relationship dispute. Further investigation is underway.
According to the eyewitnesses, the lady constable came with a young man on a motorcycle and then there was an argument between the two, the young man assaulted the lady constable in a nearby park, the local people forbade the young man and asked the girl to apologize, then the young man pistol-whipped her. After pulling out, they first fired in the air, which dispersed the local people.
The youth then shot the lady constable three times first in her leg and then in her head. The youth fled from the scene after the murder.
SP Cant Owais Shafiq along with a heavy contingent immediately reached the spot, the body was taken into custody and shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
SP Cant Owais Shafiq said that the investigation is being done keeping in mind all aspects of the incident, a team has been formed under the leadership of SDPO Baghbanpura to arrest the accused immediately.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from CCPO Lahore.
IG Punjab ordered the DIG Operations to immediately arrest the accused involved in the firing and said that the accused should be arrested as soon as possible while investigating every aspect of the incident.
Dr. Usman Anwar further said that all the evidences including the footage of Safe City cameras should be used to arrest the accused, justice should be ensured to the family members on a priority basis.
