The President has accepted the resignations of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Athar Minallah.

صدر مملکت آصف علی زرداری نے سپریم کورٹ کے جسٹس منصور علی شاہ اور جسٹس اطہر من اللہ کے استعفے منظور کر لیے۔
گزشتہ روز 27 ویں ترمیم کے معاملے پر جسٹس منصور علی شاہ اور جسٹس اطہرمن اللہ نے سپریم کورٹ کے جج کی حیثیت سے اپنے عہدے سے استعفیٰ دیا تھا اور اپنے استعفے صدر مملکت کو ارسال کیے تھے۔
ایوان صدر کے اعلامیے کے مطابق صدرِ آصف زرداری نے جسٹس منصور علی شاہ اور جسٹس اطہر من اللہ کےاستعفے منظور کر لیے۔
خیال رہے کہ جسٹس منصور علی شاہ اور جسٹس اطہرمن اللہ نےگزشتہ رات ساتھی ججز سے ان کےچیمبرز میں جاکر الوداعی ملاقاتیں کیں، ساتھی ججز نے جسٹس منصور اور جسٹس اطہرمن اللہ کو استعفیٰ نہ دینے کا مشورہ دیا اور ساتھی ججز آخری وقت تک دونوں کو مستعفی نہ ہونے پر قائل کرنے کی کوشش کرتے رہے۔
واضح رہے ساتھی ججز کے اصرار کے باوجود دونوں ججز اپنے فیصلے پر قائم رہے اور ساتھی ججز سے ملاقاتیں کرنے کے بعد استعفیٰ دیا پھر سپریم کورٹ سے روانہ ہوگئے۔

Yesterday, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Athar Minallah resigned from their posts as Supreme Court judges on the issue of the 27th Amendment and sent their resignations to the President.
According to a statement from the Presidency, President Asif Zardari has accepted the resignations of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Athar Minallah.
It should be noted that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Athar Minallah went to their chambers last night and had farewell meetings with their fellow judges. The fellow judges advised Justice Mansoor and Justice Athar Minallah not to resign and the fellow judges tried to convince both of them not to resign until the last moment.
It should be noted that despite the insistence of their fellow judges, both judges stuck to their decision and resigned after meeting with their fellow judges and then left the Supreme Court.
