ٹوبہ ٹیک سنگھ کے علاقے چٹیانا میں شادی والے گھر میں پولیس کے چھاپے کے دوران فائرنگ سے لڑکی جاں بحق ہو گئی۔اس واقعے سے متعلق پولیس نے بھی اپنا مؤقف دیا ہے۔پولیس کے ترجمان کے مطابق جرائم پیشہ افراد کی موجودگی کی اطلاع پر پولیس نے چھاپہ مارا تھا جہاں مزاحمت پر پولیس کانسٹیبل نے فائر کیا جس سے لڑکی ہلاک ہو گئی۔ترجمان کے مطابق ڈی پی او نے واقعے کا نوٹس لیتے ہوئے انکوائری کا حکم دیا ہے۔دوسری جانب لواحقین نے پولیس کے خلاف احتجاج کیا ہے اور ٹوبہ شور کوٹ روڈ کو بلاک کر دیا۔
