International community must cooperate with Pakistan to combat terrorism: Mohsin Naqvi

وفاقی وزیر داخلہ محسن نقوی نے کہا ہے کہ دہشتگردی کیخلاف جنگ صرف پاکستان کی جنگ نہیں، دہشتگردی سے نمٹنے کیلئے عالمی برادری کو پاکستان سے تعاون کرنا ہوگا۔وفاقی وزیر داخلہ محسن نقوی سے پاکستان کے دورے پر آئے امریکی وفد کے سربراہ اور امریکی محکمہ خارجہ کے سینئر عہدیدار ایریک میئر نے ملاقات کی، ملاقات کے دوران پاکستان امریکا کے تعلقات سمیت باہمی دلچسپی کے امور اور دو طرفہ تعاون پر تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
ملاقات میں دہشت گردی، سمگلنگ اور انسداد منشیات کے شعبوں میں باہمی اشتراک کار کو بڑھانے پر بھی بات چیت کی گئی۔
اس موقع پر سینئر امریکی عہدیدار ایریک میئر نے مطلوب دہشتگرد شریف اللہ کی گرفتاری میں تعاون پر پاکستان کا شکریہ ادا کیا، ایریک میئر کی جعفر ایکسپریس پر دہشت گردوں کے حملے کی مذمت و جانی نقصان پر اظہار افسوس کیا اور متاثرہ خاندانوں سے تعزیت کا اظہارکیا۔
وزیر داخلہ نے کہا کہ جون میں اسلام آباد میں مشترکہ کاونٹر ٹیررازم ڈائیلاگ کا انعقاد انسداد دہشت گردی کے سلسلے میں تعاون کو مزید بڑھانے میں اہم ثابت ہوگا، محسن نقوی نے ایریک مئیر کو انسداد دہشتگردی کے سلسے میں لئے گئے اقدامات سے آگاہ کیا۔
محسن نقوی کا کہنا تھا کہ دہشت گردی صرف پاکستان کی جنگ نہیں، اس سے نمٹنے کیلئے عالمی برادری کو پاکستان سے تعاون کرنا ہوگا، پاکستان منزلز انویسٹمنٹ فورم کے ذریعے امریکی کمپنیاں پاکستان میں سرمایہ کاری کے بے پناہ مواقعوں سے فائدہ اٹھا سکتی ہیں، اس ضمن میں امریکی وفد کا دورہ اہم سنگ میل ثابت ہوگا۔
ایریک میئر نے پاکستان منرلز انویسٹمنٹ فورم 2025 کے تحت فراہم کردہ مواقعوں میں دلچسپی کا اظہارکیا۔
ملاقات میں قائم مقام امریکی سفیر نیٹلی بیکر،وزیر مملکت داخلہ طلال چودھری اور سیکرٹری داخلہ خرم آغا بھی موجود تھے، ایریک میئر کی سربراہی میں امریکی وفد پاکستان منرلز انویسٹمنٹ فورم 2025 میں شرکت کر رہا ہے۔

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that the war against terrorism is not just Pakistan’s war, the international community must cooperate with Pakistan to deal with terrorism. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was met by Eric Meyer, the head of the US delegation visiting Pakistan and a senior official of the US State Department. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation, including Pakistan-US relations, were discussed in detail.
The meeting also discussed enhancing mutual cooperation in the fields of terrorism, smuggling and counter-narcotics.
On this occasion, senior US official Eric Meyer thanked Pakistan for its cooperation in the arrest of wanted terrorist Sharifullah, Eric Meyer condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express and expressed regret over the loss of lives and expressed condolences to the affected families.
The Interior Minister said that holding a joint counter-terrorism dialogue in Islamabad in June would prove important in further enhancing cooperation in the field of counter-terrorism. Mohsin Naqvi briefed Eric Meyer about the steps taken in the fight against terrorism.
Mohsin Naqvi said that terrorism is not just Pakistan’s war, the international community must cooperate with Pakistan to deal with it, American companies can benefit from the immense investment opportunities in Pakistan through the Pakistan Destinations Investment Forum, and the visit of the American delegation will prove to be an important milestone in this regard.
Eric Meyer expressed interest in the opportunities provided under the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025.
Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Secretary Interior Khurram Agha were also present in the meeting. The American delegation led by Eric Meyer is participating in the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025.
