بھارتی کرکٹ بورڈ کے سیکریٹری جے شاہ نے آئی سی سی چیئرمین کا چارج سنبھال لیا۔ انٹرنیشنل کرکٹ کونسل کا کہنا ہے کہ چیئرمین آئی سی سی کی حیثیت سے جے شاہ کے عہدے کی مدت شروع ہو گئی۔
آئی سی سی کے مطابق جے شاہ نے بطور آئی سی سی چیئرمین شپ عہدے کا آغاز کر دیا۔ اس حوالے سے جے شاہ کا کہنا ہے کہ آئی سی سی چیئرمین کا عہدہ سنبھالنے پر فخر محسوس کر رہا ہوں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ آئی سی سی ڈائریکٹرز اور رکن بورڈز کی حمایت اور اعتماد کا شکر گزار ہوں۔
جے شاہ کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ کھیل کے لیے پُرجوش لمحہ ہے، ہم اولمپک 2028ء گیمز کی تیاری کر رہے ہیں، ہم کرکٹ کو شائقین کے لیے مزید دلچسپ بنانے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔
آئی سی سی کے چیئرمین نے مزید کہا کہ ہم ایک اہم موڑ پر ہیں جہاں مختلف فارمیٹس ایک ساتھ موجود ہیں، خواتین کے کھیل کی ترقی کو تیز کرنے کی ضرورت ہے، کرکٹ میں عالمی سطح پر بے پناہ صلاحیت موجود ہے۔ ان کا یہ بھی کہنا ہے کہ کھیل کو نئی بلندیوں تک لے جانے کے لیے آئی سی سی ٹیم اور رکن ممالک کے ساتھ قریبی کام کرنے کا منتظر ہوں۔

Jay Shah says this is an exciting moment for the game, we are preparing for Olympic Games 2028, we are trying to make cricket more interesting for the fans.
The ICC chairman added that we are at a turning point where different formats coexist, there is a need to accelerate the development of the women’s game, cricket has immense potential at the global level. He also said that he looks forward to working closely with the ICC team and member nations to take the game to new heights.
