India has not been able to intimidate Pakistan despite all its efforts: American professor

امریکا کی معروف پروفیسر اور سیکیورٹی ماہر کرسٹین فیئر نے بھارتی حکومت اور بھارتی میڈیا کو آئینہ دکھاتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ بھارت اپنی ہرممکن کوشش کے باوجود پاکستان کو خوفزدہ نہیں کر سکا۔
ایک بھارتی ٹی وی پروگرام کے دوران اپنے تبصرے میں امریکی پروفیسر نے کہا کہ ڈیٹرنس کا اندازہ اس ملک کے رویے سے لگایا جاتا ہے جسے روکنے کی کوشش کی جا رہی ہو، موجودہ حالات میں ایسا کوئی ثبوت نہیں کہ پاکستان نے اپنی پوزیشن ترک کی ہو یا موقف سے پیچھے ہٹا ہو۔
انہوں نے بھارت کی پالیسیوں پر سخت تنقید کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بھارت نے بے بنیاد دعوے کرکے خود کو ایک خطرناک صورتحال میں ڈال دیا ہے، بھارت کے اندر میڈیا، جسے میں خاص طور پر فسادی میڈیا کہتی ہوں، اس نے عوام کو غلط معلومات فراہم کی ہیں۔
پروفیسر کرسٹین فیئر نے واضح کیا کہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ بھارت نہ تو پاکستان کو کسی ناکامی سے دوچار کرسکا اور نہ ہی اسے خوفزدہ کرسکا ہے، پاکستان پیچھے نہیں ہٹا اور نہ ہی وہ بھاگا ہے۔
انہوں نے اس بات پر افسوس کا اظہار کیا کہ یہ تنازع بھارت کی توقع سے کہیں زیادہ تیزی سے شدت اختیار کرگیا، بدقسمتی سے بھارتی بے لگام میڈیا عوام میں ایسی توقعات پیدا کرتا ہے جو بعد میں عسکری تقاضوں کو جنم دیتی ہیں۔
ماہرین کے مطابق پروفیسر کرسٹین فیئر کے یہ بیانات نہ صرف بھارت کی خارجہ پالیسی پر ایک بڑا سوالیہ نشان ہیں بلکہ یہ پاکستان کی مضبوط دفاعی پوزیشن کو بھی اجاگر کرتے ہیں۔

Leading American professor and security expert Christine Fair has held up a mirror to the Indian government and Indian media, saying that India has not been able to intimidate Pakistan despite its best efforts.
In her comments during an Indian TV program, the American professor said that deterrence is measured by the behavior of the country that is being tried to stop, in the current circumstances there is no evidence that Pakistan has abandoned its position or backed down from its stance.
She strongly criticized India’s policies and said that India has put itself in a dangerous situation by making baseless claims. The media inside India, which I especially call the riot media, has provided the public with wrong information.
Professor Christine Fair clarified that the fact is that India has neither been able to make Pakistan fail nor intimidate it, Pakistan has not backed down nor has it run away.
He expressed regret that this conflict has escalated much faster than India expected, unfortunately, the unbridled Indian media creates expectations among the public that later give rise to military demands. According to experts, these statements by Professor Christine Fair not only pose a big question mark on India’s foreign policy, but also highlight Pakistan’s strong defense position.
