The option of giving relief on electricity is with the provincial governments, Atta Tarar

اسلام آباد میں پریس کانفرنس کرتے ہوئے وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ وفاق 200 یونٹ تک کے بجلی صارفین کو ریلیف فراہم کر رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پنجاب حکومت کے اقدام کو بھی سراہنا چاہیے، جس نے ریلیف کی رقم اپنے ترقیاتی بجٹ سے کاٹی ہے۔ تمام صوبائی حکومتوں کے پاس ریلیف دینے کا آپشن موجود ہے۔
عطا تارڑ نے کہا کہ بجلی کے بلوں کےمعاملے پر ملک میں بحث شروع کردی گئی ہے، وفاق نے ترقیاتی بجٹ میں کٹ لگا کر 50 ارب روپے بجلی صارفین کو سبسڈی دی۔ وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ وفاق موجودہ حالات میں جو کچھ کرسکتا تھا ،اس نے کیا، ملک میں مہنگائی پچھلے سال کے مقابلے میں کم ہوئی ہےجبکہ مزید کمی متوقع ہے۔
اُن کا کہنا تھا کہ ریلیف دینا صوبے کا اپنا معاملہ تھا، باقی صوبوں کے پاس بھی یہ آپشن ہے،وہ چاہیں تو ریلیف دے سکتے ہیں۔ عطا تارڑ نے کہا کہ سیاسی پارٹیوں کو کہتاہوں کہ پنجاب حکومت کے اقدام کو سراہیں اور اس ماڈل کو اپنائیں۔

While giving a press conference in Islamabad, the federal minister said that the federation is providing relief to electricity consumers of up to 200 units. He said that the initiative of the Punjab government should also be appreciated, which has deducted the relief money from its development budget. All provincial governments have the option to grant relief.
Atta Tarar said that a discussion has been started in the country on the issue of electricity bills, the federal government has given 50 billion rupees subsidy to electricity consumers by cutting the development budget. The federal minister said that the federal government has done what it could in the current situation, inflation in the country has reduced compared to last year, while further reduction is expected.
He said that giving relief was the province’s own matter, other provinces also have this option, they can give relief if they want. Atta Tarar said that I ask the political parties to appreciate the initiative of the Punjab government and adopt this model.
