محکمہ وائلڈ لائف کے ڈویژنل فاریسٹ آفیسر کے مطابق امریکی شہری رونالڈ جوویٹن نے 2 لاکھ 71 ہزار ڈالر کی ریکارڈ ادائیگی کرتے ہوئے مارخور کے شکار کا پرمٹ حاصل کیا تھا۔
رونالڈ جوویٹن نے اتوار 8 دسمبر کو وائلڈ لائف حکام کی زیرنگرانی شکار چترال میں تھوشی شاشا کنزروینسی کے مقام پر کیا، شکار کیے گئے مارخور کی عمر 11 سال جبکہ سینگ کی لمبائی 49.5 انچ ہے۔
محکمہ وائلڈ لائف نے قومی جانور کے شکار کے لیے 4 پرمٹ فروخت کیے، تھوشی ون کنزروینسی اور تھوشی ٹو کنزروینسی کے دونوں پرمٹ ریکارڈ 2 لاکھ 71 ہزار ڈالر فی پرمٹ کے حساب سے فروخت ہوئے تھے۔

An American hunter in Chitral made the highest bid in Pakistani history for the first markhor hunt of the season.
According to the Divisional Forest Officer of the Department of Wildlife, American citizen Ronald Joviton had obtained a Markhor hunting permit by paying a record $271,000.
Ronald Joviton hunted under the supervision of wildlife officials on Sunday, December 8, at Thoshi Shasha Conservancy in Chitral.
The Department of Wildlife sold 4 permits to hunt the national animal, both the permits of the Thoshi One Conservancy and the Thoshi Two Conservancy were sold at a record $271,000 per permit.
