The problem of smog is years old, it will not be solved overnight: Maryam Nawaz

جنیوا سے لندن پہنچنے پر میڈيا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے مریم نواز کا کہنا تھا کہ ماضی میں اسموگ کے مسئلے کو سنجیدہ نہیں لیا گیا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستانی معیشت بہتر ہورہی ہے، اچھی خبریں آرہی ہیں کہ پاکستان جلد مشکلات سے نکل آئے گا۔دوسری جانب وزیر دفاع خواجہ آصف کا کہنا ہے کہ اسموگ پر انتظامیہ، نوکر شاہی اور ایگزیکٹو نے سب کو ٹرک کی بتی کے پیچھے لگایا ہوا ہے۔انہوں نے کہا کہ شور مچایا جاتا ہے کہ چاول کی فصل کی باقیات جلانے سے اسموگ ہوتی ہے، یہ بھی کہا جاتا ہے کہ اسموگ بھارت سے آتی ہے۔ خواجہ آصف نے کہا کہ فصلوں کی باقیات تو موہن جو داڑو کے دور سے جلائی جارہی ہیں، لاہور میں سب سے زیادہ گرین ہاؤس گیسز کا اخراج ٹرانسپورٹ سے ہوتا ہے جو 127 ہے۔

Maryam Nawaz while talking to the media on reaching London from Geneva said that the smog problem was not taken seriously in the past. He said that Pakistan’s economy is improving, good news is coming that Pakistan will come out of difficulties soon. On the other hand, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif says that the management, bureaucracy and executive are all behind the truck light on smog. He said that there is a rumor that smog is caused by burning rice crop residue, it is also said that smog comes from India.  Khawaja Asif said that the residue of the crops is being burnt in the Mohan which is being burned since the Daro era, the highest greenhouse gas emission in Lahore is from transport which is 127.
