A four-member delegation from KFW Bank Delegation visit to NTDC headquarters

این ٹی ڈی سی ہیڈکوارٹرز، واپڈا ہاﺅس لاہور کے ایف ڈبلیو ڈویلپمنٹ بینک، جرمنی کے چار رکنی وفد وفد نے این ٹی ڈی سی ہیڈکوارٹرز، واپڈا ہاوس لاہور اور 220 کے وی غازی روڈ گرڈ سٹیشن لاہور کا دورہ کیا اور بینک کی مالی اعانت سے جاری منصوبوں پر کام کرنے والی این ٹی ڈی سی ٹیموں اور کنسلٹنٹ کے ساتھ ملاقاتیں کیں۔ کے ایف ڈبلیو کے وفد میں ہیڈ آف ڈویژن فار انرجی اینڈ فنانس (عراق، افغانستان اور پاکستان) مس ایستھر گراوین کوٹر، پورٹ فولیو مینیجر مسٹر کانسٹینٹن ڈیلس، تکنیکی ماہر آفتاب احمد اور سینئر سیکٹر سپیشلسٹ برائے توانائی ابرار احمد شامل تھے۔واپڈا ہاوس لاہور میں ہونے والی ملاقاتوں کے دوران این ٹی ڈی سی ٹیم کی قیادت ڈپٹی منیجنگ ڈائریکٹر (ایسیٹ ڈویلپمنٹ اینڈ مینجمنٹ) انجینئر رشید اے بھٹو نے کی۔ملاقاتوں میں سندھ کے ضلع ٹھٹھہ میں 220 کے وی گھارو گرڈ سٹیشن پراجیکٹ کی پیشرفت پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا جس میں اہل بولی دہندگان کی جانب سے بولی جمع کرانا اور جانچ پڑتال کے عمل جیسے اقدامات شامل ہیں۔ وفد نے 500 کے وی چکوال گرڈ سٹیشن پراجیکٹ پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیا۔ 500 کے وی چکوال گرڈ سٹیشن کیلئے ذریعہ معاش کی بحالی کے منصوبے کی صورتحال کا بھی جائزہ لیا گیا۔ اجلاس میں اضافی اقدامات کے مختص گرانٹس کو استعمال کرنے کے منصوبوں کا بھی احاطہ کیا گیا۔این ٹی ڈی سی کی جانب سے میٹنگز کے شرکاءمیں جنرل منیجر (ایچ آر) انجینئر سہیل ممتاز باجوہ، چیف انجینئر (پراجیکٹ مینجمنٹ یونٹ) انجینئر ثاقب شمیم، چیف انجینئرپراجیکٹ ڈیلیوری ( ملتان) انجینئر اقبال حیدر اور پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر (ای ایچ وی) اسلام آباد انجینئر عدنان زاہد اور انکی متعلقہ ٹیمیں شامل تھیں ۔ وفد نے لاہور میں کے ایف ڈبلیو بینک کی مالی اعانت سے مکمل ہونے والے 220 کے وی گرڈ سٹیشن غازی روڈ کا بھی دورہ کیا۔ دورے کے دوران ڈپٹی منیجر (ایسیٹ مینجمنٹ) انجینئر محمد محسن نے گرڈ سٹیشن کے بارے میںایک تفصیلی پریزنٹیشن دی جو لیسکو کے علاقے کی بڑھتی ہوئی بجلی کی ضروریات کو پورا کرنے اور بجلی کی ترسیل کے نظام کے استحکام میں معاون ثابت ہو رہا ہے۔ وفد نے گرڈ سٹیشن کی مینجمنٹ اور مینٹیننس کے اعلیٰ معیار کو برقرار رکھنے پر انتظامی ٹیم کو سراہا۔کے ایف ڈبلیو وفد نے بہترین آپریشنل ماحول کو یقینی بنانے میں این ٹی ڈی سی مینجمنٹ کی کوششوں کے ساتھ ساتھ لاہور کے انفراسٹرکچر اور سماجی بہبود میں غازی روڈ گرڈ سٹیشن کے اہم کردار کا اعتراف کیا۔ وفد نے ماحولیات کے تحفظ سے متعلق اپنے عزم کو تقویت دینے کیلئے گرڈ سٹیشن میں پودے بھی لگائے۔ دورے کے دوران جنرل منیجر (میڈیا اینڈ پبلک ریلیشنز) محمد ابراہیم، ڈپٹی منیجر سیکیورٹی میجر (ر) تنویر احمد اور دیگر سینئر افسران بھی موجود تھے۔

The delegation visited NTDC Headquarters, WAPDA House Lahore and 220 KV Ghazi Road Grid Station Lahore and held meetings with NTDC teams and consultants working on ongoing Bank funded projects. The KFW delegation included Head of Division for Energy and Finance (Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan) Ms. Esther Graven Cotter, Portfolio Manager Mr. Constantin Dales, Technical Expert Aftab Ahmed and Senior Sector Specialist for Energy Abrar Ahmed. WAPDA HOUSE LAHORE The NTDC team was led by Deputy Managing Director (Asset Development and Management) Engineer Rashid A. Bhutto during the meetings. The meetings discussed the progress of the 220 KV Gharo Grid Station project in Thatta district of Sindh, including steps such as submission of bids by eligible bidders and the evaluation process. The delegation also discussed the 500 kV Chakwal grid station project. The status of livelihood restoration project for 500 kV Chakwal grid station was also reviewed. Plans to utilize the allocated grants for additional initiatives were also covered in the meeting. Among the participants of the meetings on behalf of NTDC were General Manager (HR) Engineer Sohail Mumtaz Bajwa, Chief Engineer (Project Management Unit) Engineer Saqib Shamim, Chief Engineer Project Delivery (Multan) Engineer Iqbal Haider and Project Director (EHV) Islamabad Engineer Adnan Zahid and their respective teams were involved. The delegation also visited the 220 kV grid station Ghazi Road in Lahore which was completed with the financial assistance of KFW Bank. During the visit, Deputy Manager (Asset Management) Engineer Mohammad Mohsin gave a detailed presentation about the grid station which is proving to be helpful in meeting the increasing electricity needs of the Lesco area and in stabilizing the electricity transmission system. The delegation appreciated the management team for maintaining high standards of management and maintenance of the grid station. The KFW delegation acknowledged the efforts of NTDC management in ensuring optimal operational environment as well as the important role of Ghazi Road Grid Station in infrastructure and social welfare of Lahore. The delegation also planted saplings at the grid station to reinforce its commitment to environmental protection. General Manager (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Ibrahim, Deputy Manager Security Major (Rtd) Tanveer Ahmed and other senior officers were also present during the visit.
