VPN started to be blocked in Pakistan

پاکستان ٹیلی کمیونیکشن اتھارٹی (پی ٹی اے) نے ملک میں غیر رجسٹرڈ وی پی این بلاک کرنا شروع کر دیے۔ وی پی اینز کی وائٹ لسٹنگ کے لیے انہیں عارضی بلاک کیا جا رہا ہے، غیر رجسٹرڈ وی پی اینز سیکیورٹی رسک ہیں۔
ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ غیر رجسٹرڈ اور غیر قانونی وی پی اینز سے حساس ڈیٹا اور غیر قانونی مواد تک رسائی بھی ہو سکتی ہے۔پی ٹی اے نے 2010ء میں وی پی اینز کی رجسٹریشن کا آغاز کیا تھا، اب تک 20 ہزار 500 کے لگ بھگ وی پی اینز رجسٹرڈ کیے جا چکے ہیں۔
ذرائع نے بتایا ہے کہ 1422 سے زائد کمپنیاں اب تک وی پی اینز رجسٹرڈ کرا چکی ہیں۔ ادارے کا کہنا ہے کہ پی ٹی اے وی پی اینز کی وائٹ لسٹنگ کے عمل کو تیز کرنا چاہتا ہے۔
دوسری جانب صارفین گزشتہ کئی گھنٹوں سے فری وی پی اینز کے استمعال میں مشکلات کی شکایت کر رہے ہیں۔

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has started blocking unregistered VPNs in the country. For whitelisting VPNs they are being temporarily blocked, unregistered VPNs are a security risk.
Sources say that unregistered and illegal VPNs can also access sensitive data and illegal content. PTA started registration of VPNs in 2010, so far about 20,500. Most VPNs have been registered.
Sources said that more than 1422 companies have registered VPNs so far. The agency says the PTA wants to speed up the process of whitelisting VPNs.
On the other hand, users have been complaining about difficulties in using free VPNs for the past several hours.
