British High Commissioner meets Maryam Nawaz, discusses issues of mutual interest

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف سے برطانوی ہائی کمشنر جین میریٹ نے ملاقات کی ہے۔
ملاقات کے دوران وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے حالیہ پاک بھارت کشیدگی میں برطانیہ کے مثبت اور مدبرانہ کردار کو سراہا، اس موقع پر باہمی دلچسپی کے امور، دوطرفہ تعاون، تعلیم، سرمایہ کاری، ماحولیاتی تحفظ اور گورننس میں شراکت داری کو مزید فروغ دینے پر تبادلہ خیال بھی کیا گیا۔
اس موقع پر سبکدوش ہونے والی سیاسی مشیر زوئی ویئر کے اعزاز میں ظہرانہ دیا گیا، مریم نواز شریف نے سبکدوش ہونے والی برطانوی ہائی کمیشن کی سیاسی مشیر زوئی ویئر کو شاندار خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا اور ان کی سفارتی خدمات کو سراہا۔
وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے تعلیم، تجارت، سرمایہ کاری، موسمیاتی تحفظ اور گورننس کے شعبوں میں باہمی اشتراک کار مزید بڑھانے کی پیشکش بھی کی۔
اس موقع پر وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز شریف کا کہنا تھا کہ سیاسی مشیر زوئی ویئر نے اپنے منصب پر دیانت، محنت اور شراکت داری کے جذبے کے ساتھ فرائض انجام دیئے، زوئی ویئر کا ارتھ شاٹ پرائز جیسے عالمی ماحولیاتی منصوبے میں کردار قابلِ تحسین ہے، وہ پنجاب میں ہمیشہ دوستوں کی طرح یاد رکھی جائیں گی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ جین میریٹ کی بطور ہائی کمشنر خدمات کو حکومتِ پنجاب انتہائی قدر کی نگاہ سے دیکھتی ہے، جین میریٹ کا عالمی سفارتی تجربہ پاکستان اور برطانیہ کے تعلقات کو ایک نئی بلندی پر لے جانے کی نوید ہے۔
مریم نواز کا کہنا تھا کہ پنجاب برطانیہ کے ساتھ اشتراک کار کو مزید وسعت دینے اور تعاون کے فروغ کے نئے مواقع تلاش کرنے کیلئے پُرعزم ہے، 17 لاکھ پر مشتمل برٹش پاکستانی برادری کی بڑی تعداد کا تعلق پنجاب سے ہونا باہمی پائیدار رشتے کی عملی مثال ہے۔

On this occasion, discussions were held on further promoting partnership in matters of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation, education, investment, environmental protection and governance.
On this occasion, a lunch was held in honor of the outgoing Political Advisor Zoe Ware. Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid a great tribute to the outgoing Political Advisor of the British High Commission Zoe Ware and appreciated her diplomatic services.
The Chief Minister of Punjab also offered to further increase mutual cooperation in the fields of education, trade, investment, climate protection and governance.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that Political Advisor Zoe Ware performed her duties in her position with honesty, hard work and a spirit of partnership. Zoe Ware’s role in global environmental projects like the Earthshot Prize is commendable. She will always be remembered as a friend in Punjab.
He said that the Punjab government highly values ​​Jane Marriott’s services as High Commissioner. Jane Marriott’s global diplomatic experience is a promise to take Pakistan-UK relations to a new height. Maryam Nawaz said that Punjab is determined to further expand its partnership with the UK and explore new opportunities to promote cooperation. The fact that a large number of the 1.7 million British Pakistani community belongs to Punjab is a practical example of a lasting mutual relationship.
