Investigating the lease of government land worth billions of rupees to Lahore Gymkhana at Rs 417 per kanal

لاہور جم خانہ کو مبینہ طور پر اربوں روپے کی سرکاری اراضی ارزاں نرخوں پر دینے کے معاملے کی چھان بین کے لیے پنجاب اسمبلی کے ارکان کی اسپیشل کمیٹی کا اجلاس ہوا۔
اجلاس کی صدارت کمیٹی کے چیئرمین سمیع اللّٰہ خان نے کی جس میں میاں شاہد، محمد سبطین رضا، راؤ کاشف رحیم ، نواب خان گوپانگ، ذوالفقار علی شاہ، چوہدری جاوید احمد، سردار منصب علی ڈوگر، اپوزیشن رہنما رانا شہباز و رانا آفتاب سمیت پیپلز پارٹی اور حکومت کے اراکین شریک ہوئے۔
حکومت اور اپوزیشن کے تقریباً 30 ارکان نے لاہور جم خانہ پر تحریکِ التواء جمع کروائی ہے۔ تحریکِ التوائے کار کے مطابق لاہور جم خانہ کو دی جانے والی زمین کا کرایہ 30 کروڑ روپے ماہانہ بنتا ہے، محکمۂ ریونیو نے زمین 417 روپے فی کنال ماہانہ کرائے پر دی ہے۔ تحریک التوائے کار میں یہ بھی بتایا گیا ہے کہ لاہور جم خانہ کو زمین 50 سال کے لیے لیز پر دی گئی ہے۔
علی حیدر گیلانی نے بتایا کہ لاہور جم خانہ کلب جب سے بنا ہے تب سے اب تک اس کا آڈٹ نہیں کروایا گیا، کلب نے پبلک اکاؤنٹس کمیٹی کو آڈٹ کروانے سے انکار کر دیا۔
اپوزیشن رکن رانا شہباز نے کہا کہ سیکریٹریز سمیت بڑے لوگ جم خانے کے ممبر ہوں گے تو پھر کون آڈٹ کروائے گا؟
ایم پی اے تحریکِ انصاف احمد بھٹی نے سوال پوچھا کہ اجلاس میں بیٹھے کتنے لوگ لاہور جم خانہ کے ممبر ہیں؟
بورڈ آف ریونیو کالونیز کے ممبر ملک عبدالوحید نے کمیٹی کی صورتِ حال پر جواب دیا کہ لاہور جم خانہ کلب پر کی گئی تعمیرات کی منظوری نہیں لی گئی اور ہم نے کبھی بھی کلب کا آڈٹ نہیں کیا لیکن اگر کمیٹی حکم دے گی تو ان سے پوچھ لیں گے۔

A special committee meeting of members of the Punjab Assembly was held to investigate the issue of allegedly giving government land worth billions of rupees to Lahore Gymkhana at cheap rates.
The meeting was presided over by the chairman of the committee, Samiullah Khan, in which Mian Shahid, Mohammad Sabatin Raza, Rao Kashif Rahim, Nawab Khan Gopang, Zulfikar Ali Shah, Chaudhry Javed Ahmad, Sardar Mansab Ali Dogar, opposition leaders Rana Shahbaz and Rana Aftab, including the People’s Party. Members of the party and government attended.
About 30 members of the government and the opposition have submitted an adjournment motion on the Lahore Gymkhana. According to Tehreek-e-Atalway Kar, the rent of the land given to Lahore Gymkhana is Rs 30 crore per month, the revenue department has given the land on rent of Rs 417 per kanal per month. In the adjournment motion, it is also mentioned that the land has been leased to Lahore Gymkhana for 50 years.
Ali Haider Gilani said that the Lahore Gymkhana Club has not been audited since its inception, the club refused to be audited by the Public Accounts Committee.
Opposition member Rana Shehbaz said that if big people including secretaries are members of the gym, then who will conduct the audit?
MPA Tehreek-e-Insaf Ahmed Bhatti asked the question that how many people sitting in the meeting are members of Lahore Gymkhana?
Malik Abdul Waheed, member of Board of Revenue Colonies, responded to the committee’s situation that the approval of the constructions on Lahore Gymkhana Club was not taken and we never audited the club, but if the committee gives an order, then ask them. will take
