جاپان کے ہوکائیڈو پریفیکچر کے ایئر پورٹ پر بورڈنگ گیٹس کے قریب واقع سٹور سے قینچی گم ہونے کی وجہ سے 36 پروازیں منسوخ اور 201 کی روانگی میں تاخیر ہو گئی ۔اس واقعہ کے دوران ہوکائیڈو کے نیو چیٹوز ایئرپورٹ کے ڈومیسٹک ٹرمینل پر سکیورٹی چیک تقریباً دو گھنٹے کے لیے معطل رہی، کائونٹرز پر مسافروں کی طویل قطاریں لگ گئیں اور سینکڑوں مسافر ایئرپورٹ پر پھنس گئے۔
حکام کے مطابق گم ہو نے والی قینچی تلاش کرنے پر ایک دن بعد اسی سٹور سے مل گئی تھی، ایئرپورٹ پر پھنس جانے والے مسافروں کی بڑی تعدد سالانہ چھٹیاں منانے اپنے گھروں کو جار ہی تھی۔

36 flights were canceled and 201 were delayed after a pair of scissors went missing from a store near the boarding gates at an airport in Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. It was suspended for hours, long queues of passengers formed at the counters and hundreds of passengers were stranded at the airport.
According to the authorities, the missing scissors were found in the same store a day after searching for them. Most of the passengers stranded at the airport were on their way home for the annual vacation.
