Plant trees and erase the darkness of smog: Maryam Nawaz

وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے کہا ہے کہ درخت لگائیں اور اسموگ کے اندھیرے مٹائیں۔
وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے جنگلات کے عالمی دن پر اپنے خصوصی پیغام میں عوام سے اپیل کی ہے کہ درخت ضرور لگائیں۔
اپنے پیغام میں انہوں نے کہا ہے کہ بچے اپنے والدین اور اساتذہ کرام کے نام پر درخت لگائیں، جنگلات کا وجود ماحول، معیشت اور شہریوں کے لیے لائف لائن ہے۔وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب نے بتایا ہے کہ عالمی یوم جنگلات پرصوبے بھر میں 15 لاکھ پودے لگائے جائیں گے، مہم کے دوران مجموعی طور پر ڈیڑھ کروڑ پودے لگانے کا ٹارگٹ دیا گیا ہے۔
مزیم نواز نے مزید کہا ہے کہ وزیرِ اعلیٰ پلانٹ فار پاکستان مہم کے تحت 44 لاکھ پودے لگائے جائیں گے جبکہ گرین پاکستان پروگرام کے تحت 34 لاکھ سے زائد پودے لگائے جائیں گے۔
انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا ہے کہ ہیلتھ، ایجوکیشن اور دیگر اداروں کو شجرکاری کے لیے 55 لاکھ پودے فراہم کیے گئے ہیں، پہلی مرتبہ بے آباد سرکاری اراضی پر بھی درخت لگائے جائیں گے۔

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has appealed to the people in her special message on International Forest Day to plant trees.
In her message, she has said that children should plant trees in the name of their parents and teachers, the existence of forests is a lifeline for the environment, economy and citizens. The Punjab Chief Minister has said that 1.5 million saplings will be planted across the province on International Forest Day, and a total target of 1.5 crore saplings has been set during the campaign.
Mazum Nawaz has further said that 4.4 million saplings will be planted under the Chief Minister’s Plant for Pakistan campaign, while more than 3.4 million saplings will be planted under the Green Pakistan Program.
She has also said that 5.5 million saplings have been provided to health, education and other institutions for plantation, and for the first time, trees will also be planted on uninhabited government land.
