ذرائع نے بتایا کہ بھارتی ایئرلائن کی پرواز دہلی سے جدہ جا رہی تھی کہ پاکستان کی فضائی حدود میں ایک مرد مسافر کی طبیعت خراب ہو گئی، جہاز کے عملے نے مسافر کو آکسیجن فراہم کی تاہم حالت خراب ہونے پر پائلٹ نے کراچی ایئر ٹریفک کنٹرول سے رابطہ کیا۔
بھارتی پائلٹ نے کراچی ایئر ٹریفک کنٹرول سے انسانی ہمدردی کی بنیاد پر کراچی میں میڈیکل ایمرجنسی لینڈنگ کی اجازت طلب کی، اجازت ملنے پر پائلٹ نے طیارے کا رخ کراچی کی طرف کر دیا اور جناح انٹرنیشنل ایئرپورٹ پر لینڈنگ کی۔
حکام نے مزید بتایا کہ طیارے کی لینڈنگ کے بعد پاکستان سول ایوی ایشن اتھارٹی کی میڈیکل ٹیم نے جہاز میں جا کر مسافر کو طبی امداد فراہم کی۔
