امریکا نے 5 لاکھ سے زائد تارکین وطن کی قانونی حیثیت ختم کرنے کا اعلان کر دیا۔صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ نے ملکی تاریخ کی ملک بدری کی سب سے بڑی مہم چلانے اور خاص طور پر لاطینی امریکی ممالک سے آنے والے تارکین وطن پر قابو پانے کاعزم ظاہر کیا۔
غیر ملکی خبر ایجنسی کے مطابق ٹرمپ انتظامیہ نے 5 لاکھ سے زائد تارکین وطن کی قانونی حیثیت ختم کرنے کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے انہیں ملک چھوڑنے کیلئے 24 اپریل تک کا وقت دیا ہے۔
رپورٹ کے مطابق امریکی صدر کے حکم سے کیوبا، ہیٹی، نکاراگوا اور وینزویلا سے آنے والے تارکین وطن متاثر ہوں گے جو سابق صدر جو بائیڈن کی جانب سے شروع کی گئی ایک سکیم کے تحت امریکا آئے تھے، یہ فیصلہ منگل کو جاری کیے جانے والے صدارتی حکم نامے کے تحت نافذ ہوگا اور وفاقی رجسٹر میں شائع ہونے کے 30 دن بعد متاثرہ افراد قانونی تحفظ سے محروم ہو جائیں گے۔
صدارتی حکم کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ اس پروگرام کے تحت آنے والے تارکین وطن کو 24 اپریل تک امریکا چھوڑنا ہوگا بشرطیکہ انہوں نے کوئی دوسری امیگریشن حیثیت حاصل نہ کر لی ہو جو انہیں ملک میں رکنے کی اجازت دے۔
امیگریشن امور پر کام کرنے والی تنظیم ’ویلکم یو ایس‘ نامی پروگرام جو امریکا میں پناہ کے متلاشی افراد کی مدد کرتا ہے، اس نے متاثرہ افراد پر زور دیا ہے کہ وہ ’فوری طور پر کسی امیگریشن وکیل سے مشورہ کریں تاکہ ملک میں رہنے کیلئے کوئی قانونی راستہ تلاش کیا جا سکے۔
یاد رہے کہ سی ایچ این وی پروگرام کے تحت جنوری 2023 میں ان ممالک کے شہریوں کو ہر ماہ 30 ہزار افراد کو 2 سال کیلئے امریکہ میں قیام کی اجازت دی گئی تھی، تاہم ٹرمپ انتظامیہ نے اس سکیم کو منسوخ کرنے کا فیصلہ کر لیا ہے، جس سے ہزاروں خاندان متاثر ہو سکتے ہیں۔
