Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurates Pakistan’s first EV bus service

وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے پاکستان کی پہلی مکمل ای وی بس سروس کا افتتاح کردیا۔
وزیراعلی پنجاب مریم نواز نے الیکٹرک بس میں سواری کی اور تفصیلی معائنہ بھی کیا ، صوبائی وزیر ٹرانسپورٹ بلال اکبر نے ای وی بس کے بارے میں وزیراعلیٰ کو تفصیلی بریفنگ دی ۔
بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا کہ الیکٹرک بس میں جی پی ایس لوکیشن ریکارڈر،وائی فائی، یو پی ایس پورٹ اور دیگر سہولیات موجود ہیں، الیکٹرک بس میں 30 نشستیں اور 80 مسافروں کی گنجائش ہو گی، الیکٹرک بس میں خصوصی افراد کے لئے ریمپ اور نشستیں مخصوص ہوں گی ۔
وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کو بتایا گیا کہ پہلی بار میں بس مسافروں کے تحفظ کے لئے فرش پر اینٹی سلپ شیٹ کا استعمال کیا گیا ہے ، مکمل الیکٹرک بس کے لئے نو مخصوص چارجنگ سٹیشن قائم کئے گئے ہیں، ایک بار چارجنگ کے بعد بس 250 کلومیٹر فاصلہ طے کر سکے گی ، بس میں مسافروں کی سہولت کے لئے روٹ ڈسپلے بھی نظر آئے گا۔
الیکٹرک بس میں خواتین کے لئے الگ فی میل سیکشن ہو گا، ہراسانی کے واقعات کے سد باب کے لئے کیمرے بھی نصب ہوں گے ، لاہورکے سب سے بڑے طویل ترین 21کلو میٹر روٹ پر 27الیکٹرک بسیں چلائی جائیں گی ، الیکٹرک بس ریلوے سٹیشن تا گرین ٹاؤن براستہ کوئینز روڈ، مزنگ، فیروز پور روڈ،کیمپس پل اور اچھر ہ کینال نہرچلے گی۔
لاہور کی پہلی ای بس سروس پر 17 ہزار مسافر روزانہ سفر کر سکیں گے ، ریلوے سٹیشن تا گرین ٹاؤن روٹ ای وی بس سروس کا باقاعدہ آغاز فروری کے وسط میں ہوگا ، ریلوے سٹیشن تا گرین ٹاؤن روٹ پر 42 جدید ترین بس شیلٹر زبھی قائم کئے گئے ہیں، ہر 9 منٹ کے بعد بس آئے گی۔
الیکٹرک بس کے لئے مخصوص ایپ بھی متعارف کرائی جائے گی جس سے بس کی ٹریکنگ ممکن ہو گی، الیکٹرک بس کا کرایہ ڈیجیٹل والٹ،ڈیجیٹل کارڈ کے ذریعے ادا کیا جا سکے گا ، یورنیورسل ٹرانسپورٹ کارڈ بھی ایشو کئے جائیں گے ، الیکٹرک بس کے لئے 70 ڈرائیور زکی سپیشل ٹریننگ کا آغاز ہو گیا۔
وزیراعلی ٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے بس سٹینڈ پر سولر فین اور واٹر کولر کی تنصیب کا جائزہ لینے کی ہدایت جبکہ ہر بس سٹینڈ پرسیف سٹی کیمرے نصب کرنے کا حکم دیا۔
بعدازاں وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز کی زیر صدارت خصوصی اجلاس بھی ہوا جس میں ای ٹیکسی پراجیکٹ کا جائزہ لیا گیا، مریم نواز نے ای ٹیکسی کی پنجاب میں اسمبلنگ کا جائزہ لینے اور نجی اشتراک سے الیکٹرک چارجنگ اسٹیشنز قائم کرنے کے اقدامات کی ہدایت دی۔

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz rode in the electric bus and also conducted a detailed inspection. Provincial Transport Minister Bilal Akbar gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Minister about the EV bus.
It was informed in the briefing that the electric bus has GPS location recorder, Wi-Fi, UPS port and other facilities. The electric bus will have 30 seats and a capacity of 80 passengers. The electric bus will have ramps and seats reserved for special people.
The Punjab Chief Minister was informed that for the first time, an anti-slip sheet has been used on the floor for the safety of the bus passengers. Nine dedicated charging stations have been established for the fully electric bus. After charging once, the bus will be able to cover a distance of 250 kilometers. A route display will also be visible in the bus for the convenience of the passengers.
There will be a separate section for women in the electric bus, cameras will also be installed to prevent incidents of harassment, 27 electric buses will be operated on Lahore’s largest and longest 21-kilometer route, the electric bus will run from Railway Station to Green Town via Queens Road, Mazang, Ferozepur Road, Campus Bridge and Achhra Canal.
17,000 passengers will be able to travel daily on Lahore’s first e-bus service, the Railway Station to Green Town route EV bus service will be formally launched in mid-February, 42 state-of-the-art bus shelters have also been established on the Railway Station to Green Town route, buses will come after every 9 minutes.
A special app will also be introduced for the electric bus, which will make bus tracking possible, the fare of the electric bus can be paid through digital wallets, digital cards, universal transport cards will also be issued, special training for 70 drivers for the electric bus has begun.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to review the installation of solar fans and water coolers at bus stands, while ordering the installation of safe city cameras at every bus stand. Later, a special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in which the e-taxi project was reviewed. Maryam Nawaz directed to review the assembling of e-taxi in Punjab and to take steps to establish electric charging stations in partnership with the private sector.
