لاہور میں مسیحی برادری سے تعلق رکھنے والے قوم کے بہادر سپوت کی لازوال قربانی کو خراج عقیدت پیش کیا گیا ۔تقریب میں شہید کے ورثا نے خصوصی شرکت کی ،تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی پنجاب کے وزیر برائے اقلیتی امور سردار رمیش سنگھ اروڑا تھے۔بشپ آف لاہور کامران ندیم سمیت مسیحی برادری کی بھرپور شرکت ۔مختلف مذاہب اور مسالک کے راہنماؤں نے مل کر شہدائے وطن کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی اور یگانگت کا خوبصورت نمونہ پیش کیا ۔سب راہنماؤں نے دفاع و بقائے وطن کے لیے ناقابل شکست عزم و اتحاد کا مظاہرہ کیا ۔سردار رمیش سنگھ اروڑا نے محفوظ پاکستان کو مضبوط پاکستان کی بنیاد کہا اور یوم دفاع کو مادر وطن کی سلامتی اور خوشحالی کے لیے ایک ناقابل تسخیر قوم کے طور پر اپنے آپ کو ہر دور میں ثابت کرنے کے عہد کی تجدید کا دن قرار دیا ۔طلبہ نے ساز پر قومی ترانہ اور ملی نغمہ پیش کر کے حاضرین کے دل جیت لیے ۔میجر سرمس راؤف نے 11 ستمبر 1987 کو پاکسان آرمی میں کمیشن حاصل کیا۔آپ نے نہ صرف اپنی یونٹ 44 فرئیر فورس رجمنٹ ( دی چار جنگ ٹائیگرز) بلکہ پورے پاکستان آرمی میں اپنی صلاحیتوں کا لوہا منوایا۔ستمبر 2007 میں آفیسر باجوڑ سکاؤٹس میں ونگ کمانڈر کی ڈیوٹی سرانجام دے رہے تھے جو کہ اس وقت ساؤتھ وزیرستان میں تعینات تھے۔ 13 ستمبر 2007 کو ایک سرچ آپریشن کے دوران بارودی مواد کے پھٹنے کے باعث میجر سر مس راؤف خالق حقیقی سے جاملے اور جام شہادت نوش کیا۔ انکی یہ بہادری اور فرض شناسی یہ ثابت کرتی ہے کہ وہ ایک نڈر اور محب وطن آفیسر تھے۔ میجر سرمس راؤف (شہید) کی عظیم قربانی بہترین عسکری قیادت ، دلیرانہ طرز عمل اور پیشہ ورانہ مہارت کے اعتراف میں قوم کے اس بہادر آفیسر کو عسکری اعزاز تمغہ بسالت سے نوازا گیا۔میجر سرمس راؤف (شہید) کی شہادت مسیحی برادری کی دفاع پاکستان کے لیے انمول خدمات کی عکاس ہے۔
Tributes were paid to the eternal sacrifice of Bahadur Spout of the nation belonging to the Christian community in Lahore. The heirs of the martyr took special part in the ceremony. Major Sirmus Raouf received his commission in Paksan Army on 11 September 1987. He not only served his unit 44 Friar Force Regiment ( The Char Jang Tigers) but also honed his skills throughout the Pakistan Army. In September 2007, Officer Bajaur was serving as Wing Commander in the Scouts, which was then stationed in South Waziristan. On September 13, 2007, Major Sir Rauf Khaliq Haqiji was martyred due to the explosion of explosives during a search operation. His bravery and sense of duty prove that he was a fearless and patriotic officer.
