Polling for by-election in NA-213, tough competition expected

حلقہ این اے 213 عمرکوٹ میں ضمنی الیکشن کیلئے پولنگ کا عمل جاری ہے، اس موقع پر سکیورٹی کے سخت انتظامات کئے گئے ہیں۔
حکام الیکشن کمیشن کے مطابق پولنگ صبح 8 بجے شروع ہوئی جو کہ شام 5 بجے تک بغیر کسی وقفے کے جاری رہے گی۔
پیپلزپارٹی کی صباء تالپر اور اپوزیشن کے مشترکہ امیدوار لال چند مالہی میں کڑا مقابلہ متوقع ہے، پی ٹی آئی، جی ڈی اے، جے یو آئی اور جماعت اسلامی سمیت 18 امیدوار میدان میں ہیں۔
الیکشن کمیشن کے مطابق حلقے میں رجسٹرڈ ووٹرز کی تعداد 6 لاکھ 8 ہزار 997 ہے، حلقے میں کل پولنگ سٹیشنز کی تعداد 498 ہے، 269 پولنگ سٹیشنز کو حساس اور 91 کو انتہائی حساس قرار دیا گیا ہے، امن وامان برقرار رکھنے کیلئے پولیس اور رینجرز کے دستے تعینات کئے گئے ہیں۔
ضمنی انتخاب کے باعث عمر کوٹ ضلع بھر میں آج عام تعطیل کی گئی ہے۔
واضح رہے کہ نشست پیپلزپارٹی کے نواب یوسف تالپر کے انتقال کے باعث خالی ہوئی تھی۔

The polling process for the by-election in NA-213 Umerkot constituency is underway, and strict security arrangements have been made on this occasion.

A tough contest is expected between PPP’s Saba Talpur and the opposition’s joint candidate Lal Chand Malhi, 18 candidates including PTI, GDA, JUI and Jamaat-e-Islami are in the fray.
According to the Election Commission, the number of registered voters in the constituency is 68,997, the total number of polling stations in the constituency is 498, 269 polling stations have been declared sensitive and 91 highly sensitive, and police and Rangers troops have been deployed to maintain law and order.
A public holiday has been declared in the entire Umerkot district today due to the by-election.
It should be noted that the seat had fallen vacant due to the death of PPP’s Nawab Yousaf Talpur.
