Maryam Nawaz arrives at Mayo Hospital, MS and CEO removed from post for mismanagement

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے میو ہسپتال لاہور کا دورہ کیا اور ہسپتال کے ایمرجنسی بلاک،ٹی بی اینڈ چیسٹ، آئی سی یو کارڈیالوجی اور دیگر وارڈز کا جائزہ بھی لیا، وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے وارڈز میں زیر علاج مریضوں کی عیادت کی اور جلد صحتیابی کی دعا کی۔
مریم نواز نے ہسپتال میں زیر علاج مریضوں اور تیمارداروں سے علاج کے بارے میں مکمل تفصیلات دریافت کیں اور وارڈز میں مریضوں کے علاج کے عمل کا مشاہدہ کیا، وزیراعلیٰ نے ہسپتال کے مختلف وارڈزمیں صفائی کی صورتحال کا بھی جائزہ لیا۔
مریضوں نے وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کیساتھ گفتگو میں شکایات کے انبار لگا دیئے ، مریضوں کے تیمارداروں نے سرنج اور برنولا وغیرہ تک نہ ملنے کے بارے میں بتایا۔
وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز شریف نے رک کر انتظارِ گاہ اور راستے میں کھڑے مریضوں اور لواحقین کی شکایات سنیں ، معصوم بچی نے وزیراعلیٰ کو بتایا کہ ماں بیمار ہے، رات بھر دوائیوں کیلئے بھاگ بھاگ کرتھک گئی ہوں جس پر وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے شدید ناراضگی کا اظہار کیا، کارڈیالوجی وارڈ میں کیڑے مکوڑے پائے جانے کی شکایت پر مریم نواز مزید برہم ہو گئیں۔
مریم نواز نے ہسپتال کے سٹور میں ادویات، سرنج،برنولا اور دیگر اشیاء کی فراہمی چیک کرائی، وزیراعلیٰ نے ہسپتال کے انتظامی امور میں بدنظمی پر انتظامیہ کی سخت سرزنش کی اور ایم ایس میو ہسپتال ڈاکٹر فیصل مسعود اور سی ای او ڈاکٹر احسن کو فوری عہدے سے ہٹانے کا حکم دیدیا۔
وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے کہا کہ مخلوق رل رہی ہے،کوئی پوچھنے والا نہیں، کیا اللہ کو جواب نہیں دینا، میوہسپتال کے حالات بہت برے ہیں،لوگ ہسپتال میں علاج کی توقع اور امید لیکر آتے ہیں،کس وارڈ میں کیا ہو رہا ہے ہسپتال انتظامیہ کو علم ہی نہیں،جو عوام کے ساتھ ہورہا ہے ذمہ داروں کے اپنوں کے ساتھ ہو تو پتا چلے، کسی کی بد انتظامی کی سزا عوام کو کیوں ملے۔
بعدازاں وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے دورہ کے دوران ہی میو ہسپتال میں ہنگامی اجلاس طلب کرلیا اور میو ہسپتال کے امور کے بارے میں تفصیلی انکوائری اور تمام ذمہ داروں سے جواب طلبی کی۔
وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے ادویات کے واجباتِ کی ادائیگی کے لئے فوری اقدامات کا حکم دیا اور میو ہسپتال میں ادویات کی100 فیصد فراہمی یقینی بنانے کی ہدایت کی، مریم نواز نے سیکرٹری ہیلتھ کو ہسپتال میں بدانتظامی کے ذمہ داروں کا تعین کرکے کارروائی کی ہدایت اور میو ہسپتال کی تعمیر و مرمت کا جامع پلان بھی طلب کر لیا۔

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Mayo Hospital Lahore and also inspected the hospital’s emergency block, TB and Chest, ICU Cardiology and other wards. The Punjab Chief Minister visited the patients undergoing treatment in the wards and prayed for their speedy recovery.
Maryam Nawaz inquired about the complete details of the treatment from the patients and attendants undergoing treatment in the hospital and observed the treatment process of the patients in the wards. The Chief Minister also reviewed the cleanliness situation in different wards of the hospital.
The patients heaped complaints in the conversation with the Punjab Chief Minister, the attendants of the patients told about the non-availability of syringes and Bernolas etc.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif stopped and listened to the complaints of the patients and relatives standing in the waiting room and on the way. The innocent girl told the Chief Minister that her mother was sick and she was tired of running around for medicines all night, to which Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed her deep displeasure. Maryam Nawaz became even angrier over the complaint of finding insects in the cardiology ward.
Maryam Nawaz checked the supply of medicines, syringes, Bernola and other items in the hospital store. The Chief Minister strongly reprimanded the administration for the mismanagement in the hospital’s administrative affairs and ordered the immediate removal of MS Mayo Hospital Dr. Faisal Masood and CEO Dr. Ahsan from their posts.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that the creatures are crying, no one is asking, should Allah not be held accountable, the conditions at Mayo Hospital are very bad, people come to the hospital with the expectation and hope of treatment, the hospital administration does not know what is happening in which ward, what is happening to the public, if it happens to the relatives of those responsible, they will know, why should the public be punished for someone’s mismanagement.
Later, during the visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz called an emergency meeting at Mayo Hospital and called for a detailed inquiry into the affairs of Mayo Hospital and sought answers from all those responsible.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered immediate steps to pay the dues of medicines and directed to ensure 100 percent supply of medicines at Mayo Hospital. Maryam Nawaz directed the Health Secretary to take action by identifying those responsible for mismanagement at the hospital and also sought a comprehensive plan for the construction and repair of Mayo Hospital.
