Pakistan arrested Sharifullah and handed him over to the US under UN resolutions: Foreign Office

دفترِ خارجہ کے ترجمان شفقت علی خان نے کہا ہے کہ شریف اللّٰہ کو کس قانون کے تحت امریکا کے سپرد کیا، اس پر وزارتِ قانون بہتر بتا سکتی ہے۔
اسلام آباد میں ہفتہ وار بریفنگ کے دوران انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم علاقائی امن و استحکام کے لیے امریکا کے ساتھ قریبی شراکت داری جاری رکھیں گے۔
شفقت علی خان نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے اقوامِ متحدہ کی قراردادوں کے تحت شریف اللّٰہ کو گرفتار اور امریکا کے سپرد کیا، مجھے اس معاملے پر کسی قسم کی کوئی پریشانی یا خوف دکھائی نہیں دیتا۔
ترجمان نے کہا کہ وزیرِاعظم شہباز شریف کا شریف اللّٰہ کی گرفتاری پر ردِعمل ایک ریاستی ردِعمل تھا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان افغانستان سے بہتر ہمسائیگی پر مبنی تعلقات چاہتا ہے لیکن وہاں ٹی ٹی پی اور دیگر دہشت گرد گروہوں کی محفوظ پناہ گاہیں موجود ہیں۔
علاوہ ازیں بھارتی وزیرِ مملکت کے آزاد کشمیر سے متعلق بیان کو ترجمان نے افسوس ناک اور قابلِ مذمت قرار دیا۔
ترجمان دفترِ خارجہ کا کہنا ہے کہ افغان سائیڈ نے پاک افغان سرحد پر پاکستانی حدود میں 2 سرحدی چوکیوں کی تعمیر کی کوشش کی، منع کرنے پر فائرنگ بھی کی گئی، افغانستان کی ان سرگرمیوں کے باعث طورخم سرحد کو بند کیا گیا۔

Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan has said that the Law Ministry can better explain under which law Sharifullah was handed over to the US.
During the weekly briefing in Islamabad, he said that we will continue to work closely with the US for regional peace and stability.
Shafqat Ali Khan said that Pakistan arrested Sharifullah and handed him over to the US under UN resolutions, I do not see any concern or fear on this issue.
The spokesperson said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s reaction to Sharifullah’s arrest was a state reaction. He said that Pakistan wants better neighborly relations with Afghanistan, but there are safe havens for TTP and other terrorist groups there.
In addition, the spokesperson described the Indian Minister of State’s statement on Azad Kashmir as regrettable and condemnable.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that the Afghan side attempted to build two border posts on the Pak-Afghan border within Pakistani territory, and firing was also used when they were refused. Due to these activities by Afghanistan, the Torkham border was closed.
