Annual drug burning ceremony held in Sheikhupura under the management of Anti-Narcotics Force Punjab

انسداد منشیات کی تقریب میں ڈائریکٹر جنرل اینٹی نار کوٹکس فورس میجر جنرل عبد المعید، ہلال امتیاز ملٹری نے مہمان خصوصی کی حیثیت سے شرکت کی۔
سول، ملٹری آفیسرز اور دیگر قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں کے نمائندوں، یونیورسٹیوں اور کالجز کے سربراہان، طلباء و طالبات اور این جی اوز کے ممبران کی کثیر تعداد نے بھی شرکت کی۔تقریب کا آغاز تلاوت کلام پاک سے ہوا۔ ریجنل ڈائریکٹر کمانڈر اینٹی نار کو ٹکس پنجاب نے ابتدائی کلمات میں حاضرین  کو خوش آمدید کہا اور منشیات سے پاک معاشرے کے نظریے کو عملی جامہ پہنانے کے لئے اینٹی نار کو ٹکس فورس کی کوششوں اور کار کردگی پر روشنی ڈالی۔
اس سال ریجنل ڈائریکٹوریٹ پنجاب کی طرف سے تقریباً 15 ٹن منشیات تلف کی  گئی ہیں جس میں ہیروئن، چرس، آئیس ، کوکین ،  Ecstasy Tablets، شراب اور دیگر پریکرسر کیمیکلز شامل ہیں۔
اس کے علاوہ سال کے دوران اب تک اے این ایف پنجاب نے منشیات اسمگلروں کے خلاف 511 کیسز درج کیے۔ انسداد منشیات سپیشل عدالت پنجاب نے 69 مجرموں کو عمر قید اور 238 مجرموں کو دیگر سخت سزائیں سنائیں۔
ہر سال منشیات تلف کرنے کی اس تقریب کا مقصد عوام کے ساتھ مل کر منشیات کے استعمال اورپھیلااو سے بچنے کے عزم کا اعادہ کرنا ہے۔
سول سوسائٹی کے اراکین حکومتی اداروں کے ساتھ مل کر منشیا ت کے خلاف اس جہاد میں حصہ لیں تو جلد اس خطرے پر قابو پایا جاسکے گا۔
تقریب کے آخر میں مہمان خصوصی، ڈائریکٹر جنرل اینٹی نارکوٹکس فورس میجر جنرل عبدالمعید ہلال امتیاز ملڑی نے تقریب سے خطاب کیا ۔ انہوں نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ اینٹی نارکوٹکس فورس اپنی قلیل نفری اور محدد وسائل کے باوجود منشیات کے مکروہ دھندے میں ملوث عناصر کی سرکوبی کے لئے بلا امتیاز کاروائی جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔ اس قومی مشن میں پاکستان رینجرز، پولیس، کسٹمز سمیت دیگر قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں کا زبردست تعاون قابل تحسین ہے علاوہ ازیں منشیات کے خلاف آگاہی مہم چلا کر اس کے استعمال میں بھی  کمی لانے کے لئے کوشاں ہے۔ گزشتہ سال ستمبر سے اے این ایف ایک منظم طریقے سے تعلیمی اداروں کو منشیات کی لعنت سے بچانے کے لئے قومی سطح پر مہم چلا رہی ہے۔ اس ضمن میں تقریبا 100 سے زیادہ یونیورسٹیز میں آگاہی پروگرام منعقد کروائےجاچُکے ہیں اور مزید ڈیڑھ سو اداروں میں آگاہی پروگرام تیس اپریل ۲۰۲۵ تک مکمل کیا جائے گا ۔
آج کے دن جلائے جانے والی منشیات اندرونِ ملک استعمال ہونا تھی یاپھر ملک سے باہر سمگل کی جانی تھی جس کو اینٹی نارکوٹکس فورس اور دیگر قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں کے اہلکاروں نے اپنی زندگیوں کو خطرے میں ڈال کر پکڑا ہے۔
ہم بین الا قوامی قوانین اور اقوام متحدہ کے کنونشنز کی پاسداری کے لئے پر عزم ہیں۔
تقریب کے آخر میں منشیات کے خلاف جنگ میں اے این ایف کے شانہ بشانہ کام کرنے والوں کی حوصلہ افزائی کے لیے توصیفی اسناد بھی تقسیم کی گئیں

The anti-narcotics event was attended by Director General Anti-Narcotics Force Major General Abdul Moeed, Hilal-e-Imtiaz Military as the chief guest.
A large number of civil, military officers and representatives of other law enforcement agencies, heads of universities and colleges, students and members of NGOs also attended the event. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. In his opening remarks, Regional Director Commander Anti-Narcotics Punjab welcomed the audience and highlighted the efforts and work of the Anti-Narcotics Force to implement the vision of a drug-free society.
This year, about 15 tons of drugs have been destroyed by the Regional Directorate Punjab, which includes heroin, hashish, ice, cocaine, Ecstasy Tablets, alcohol and other precursor chemicals.
In addition, during the year so far, ANF Punjab has registered 511 cases against drug smugglers. The Anti-Narcotics Special Court Punjab sentenced 69 criminals to life imprisonment and 238 criminals to other severe punishments.
The purpose of this annual drug destruction ceremony is to reaffirm the resolve of the public to prevent the use and spread of drugs.
If members of the civil society join hands with government institutions in this jihad against drugs, this menace can be controlled soon.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest, Director General Anti-Narcotics Force Major General Abdul Moeed Hilal Imtiaz Malri addressed the ceremony. In his address, he said that the Anti-Narcotics Force, despite its small manpower and limited resources, is continuing its indiscriminate operations to suppress the elements involved in the heinous drug trade. The great cooperation of Pakistan Rangers, Police, Customs and other law enforcement agencies in this national mission is commendable. In addition, it is also trying to reduce its use by conducting an awareness campaign against drugs. Since September last year, ANF has been systematically running a national campaign to protect educational institutions from the menace of drugs. In this regard, awareness programs have been organized in more than 100 universities and the awareness program in another 150 institutions will be completed by April 30, 2025.
The drugs burned today were either intended for domestic consumption or were to be smuggled out of the country, which were caught by the Anti-Narcotics Force and other law enforcement agencies at the risk of their lives.
We are committed to adhering to international laws and UN conventions.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were also distributed to encourage those working alongside ANF in the war on drugs.
