Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholic Christians, has died at the age of 88.

اس حوالے سے ویٹی کن سٹی نے اعلامیہ جاری کر دیا۔
پوپ فرانسس رومن کیتھولک چرچ کے پہلے لاطینی امریکی رہنما تھے، وہ طویل بیماری کے بعد چند روز قبل ہی صحت یاب ہو کر اسپتال سے ڈسچارج ہوئے تھے۔88 سالہ پوپ فرانسس کو 14 فروری کو سانس کی شدید تکلیف کے باعث اسپتال میں داخل کیا گیا تھا۔
نمونیا کے باعث 5 ہفتے اسپتال میں گزارنے کے بعد پوپ فرانسس گزشتہ ماہ ویٹی کن سٹی لوٹے تھے۔
میڈیا رپورٹس کے مطابق پوپ فرانسس نے اتوار کو ایسٹر کے موقع پر لوگوں سے ملاقاتیں بھی کی تھیں اور غزہ میں جنگ بندی کا مطالبہ کیا تھا۔
وہ 17 دسمبر 1936ء کو ارجنٹینا کے شہر بیونس آئرس میں پیدا ہوئے تھے اور 2013ء میں رومن کیتھولک چرچ کے سربراہ بنے تھے۔
پوپ فرانسس اس سے پہلے ارجنٹینا کے دارالحکومت بیونس آئرس کے آرچ بشپ تھے۔
خورخے ماریو مارچ 2013ء میں بینیڈکٹ کے استعفے کے بعد پوپ منتخب ہوئے تھے اور 12 سال تک پوپ کے عہدے پر فائز رہے۔

88 سالہ پوپ فرانسس کی موت پر دنیا بھر سے اظہار افسوس اور تعزیت کا سلسلہ جاری ہے۔وائٹ ہاؤس، برطانیہ کے بادشاہ چارلس اور روسی صدر پیوٹن نے پوپ فرانسس کے انتقال پر اظہار افسوس کیا۔اٹلی کی وزیر اعظم جارجیا میلونی نے کہا ہے کہ یہ انتہائی افسوسناک خبر ہے، ایک عظیم انسان ہم سے رخصت ہو گیا ہے۔
ایران نے پوپ فرانسس کے انتقال پر اظہار تعزیت کیا ہے، مصر کے صدر عبد الفتح السیسی نے کہا ہے کہ پوپ فرانسس امن، محبت اور ہمدردی کی آواز تھے۔
لبنان، تائیوان اور سری لنکا کے صدور نے بھی پوپ فرانسس کے انتقال پر اظہار تعزیت کیا۔
فلسطینی صدر محمود عباس کا کہنا ہے کہ آج فلسطینی عوام اور ان کے جائز حقوق کے ایک وفادار دوست کو کھو بیٹھے ہیں، پوپ فرانسس نے فلسطینی ریاست کو تسلیم کیا تھا، پوپ فرانسس نے ویٹیکن میں فلسطینی جھنڈا لہرانے کی اجازت دی تھی۔
بھارتی وزیراعظم نریندر مودی، ہسپانوی وزیراعظم پیڈرو سانچیز، پولینڈ کے وزیر اعظم اور آئرش وزیراعظم نے پوپ فرانسس کے انتقال پر افسوس کا اظہار کیا، آئرش وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ پوپ فرانسس نے غریبوں اور مظلوموں کے حق میں آواز اٹھائی۔

وزیراعظم شہباز شریف نے پوپ فرانسس کے انتقال پر اظہار افسوس کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ پاپائے روم لوگوں کو اچھائی کی ترغیب اور امن و سلامتی کی رہنمائی فراہم کرتے رہے، آنجہانی پوپ فرانسس بین المذہبی ہم آہنگی، امن، اور انسانیت کے فروغ کے علمبردار تھے، ان کی قیادت میں کیتھولک چرچ نے دنیا بھر میں محبت، تحمل اور باہمی احترام کے پیغام کو عام کیا، پوپ فرانسس کا طرزِ عمل نہ صرف مسیحی دنیا بلکہ تمام مذاہب کے پیروکاروں کے لیے مشعلِ راہ رہا، مسیحی برادری اور دنیا بھر میں پوپ فرانسس کے چاہنے والوں سے ہمدردی اور تعزیت کا اظہار کرتا ہوں۔
صدر مملکت آصف علی زرداری نے آنجہانی پوپ کے بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی، ہمدردی، پرامن بقائے باہمی کے عزم کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پوپ فرانسس کو امن، سماجی انصاف، بین المذاہب مکالمے کے لیے یاد رکھا جائے گا، پوپ فرانسس کو کمزور طبقات کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے کاوشوں کے لیے یاد رکھا جائے گا، پوپ فرانسس امن اور انصاف کی ایک توانا آواز تھے، پوپ فرانسس نے مختلف مذاہب سے تعلق رکھنے والی کمیونٹیز کو جوڑنے کے لیے کاوشیں کیں، باہمی افہام و تفہیم کے فروغ کے لیے پوپ فرانسس کی کوششوں کو ہمیشہ یاد رکھا جائے گا، پوپ فرانسس کا انتقال تمام مذاہب کے درمیان امن اور مکالمے کی قدر کرنے والوں کے لیے نقصان ہے۔
وفاقی وزیر انسانی حقوق اعظم نذیر تارڑ نے کہا کہ پوپ فرانسس بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کے علمبردار تھے، پوپ فرانسس کی خدمات ہمیشہ یاد رکھی جائیں گی۔
شرجیل انعام میمن نے تعزیت کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پوپ فرانسس کا انتقال مسیحی برادری کے لئے ناقابل تلافی نقصان ہے، حکومت سندھ دکھ کی اس گھڑی میں مسیحی برادری کے ساتھ ہے، انہوں نے کمزور اور پسے ہوئے طبقوں کے حقوق کے لیے آواز بلند کی، پناہ گزینوں اور غریبوں کے لیے پوپ فرانسس کی خدمات لاجواب تھیں۔
وزیراعلیٰ مراد علی شاہ، گورنر سندھ کامران خان ٹیسوری، اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی ایاز صادق اور اسپیکر سندھ اسمبلی اویس قادر شاہ نے بھی دکھ کا اظہار کیا۔

According to media reports, Pope Francis also met with people on Easter Sunday and called for a ceasefire in Gaza.
He was born on December 17, 1936 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and became the head of the Roman Catholic Church in 2013.
Pope Francis was previously the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
Jorge Mario was elected Pope after Benedict’s resignation in March 2013 and served as Pope for 12 years.
