Champions Trophy: Decision to deploy Pakistan Army and Rangers for security

آئی سی سی چیمپئنز ٹرافی 2025ء ٹورنامنٹ کے لیے فول پروف سیکیورٹی انتظامات کے سلسلے میں وفاقی حکومت نے پاک فوج اور رینجرز کو تعینات کرنے کا فیصلہ کر لیا ہے۔
ذرائع کے مطابق وفاقی کابینہ سے پاک فوج اور رینجرز کی تعیناتی کی منظوری حاصل کر لی گئی ہے، پاک فوج کی تعیناتی آئین کے آرٹیکل 245 کے تحت کی جائے گی۔
ذرائع کابینہ ڈویژن کے مطابق سیکیورٹی کے لیے رینجرز کی تعیناتی انسدادِ دہشت گردی ایکٹ 1997ء کے تحت ہو گی۔
واضح رہے کہ پاکستان کی میزبانی میں ہونے والے اس شاندار ٹورنامنٹ کا آغاز 19 فروری کو کراچی کے نیشنل اسٹیڈیم میں ہو گا، جہاں پاکستان اور نیوزی لینڈ کے درمیان افتتاحی میچ کھیلا جائے گا۔
اس ٹورنامنٹ میں پاکستان، بھارت، آسٹریلیا، انگلینڈ، جنوبی افریقا، بنگلا دیش، افغانستان اور نیوزی لینڈ کی ٹیمیں شرکت کریں گی۔

The federal government has decided to deploy the Pakistan Army and Rangers for foolproof security arrangements for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tournament.
According to sources, approval has been obtained from the federal cabinet for the deployment of the Pakistan Army and Rangers. The deployment of the Pakistan Army will be done under Article 245 of the Constitution.
According to sources in the Cabinet Division, the deployment of Rangers for security will be done under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.
It should be noted that this magnificent tournament hosted by Pakistan will start on February 19 at the National Stadium in Karachi, where the opening match will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand.
Teams from Pakistan, India, Australia, England, South Africa, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and New Zealand will participate in this tournament.
