‘Say NO to Plastic’ campaign to start from June 5 in Punjab.

سینئر صوبائی وزیر مریم اورنگزیب نے کہا ہہے کہ وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز کی ہدایت پر پلاسٹک سے پیداہونے والی مہلک بیماریوں سے تحفظ کے لیے 5جون سے ’سے نو ٹو پلاسٹک ‘مہم کا آغاز کر رہے ہیں۔مریم اورنگزیب کا کہنا ہے کہ ’سے نو ٹو پلاسٹک ‘مہم کے تناظر میں 5جون سے غیر قانونی پلاسٹک بیگ کی تیاری، پروڈیکشن،تریسل اورخریدوفروخت پر پابندی کے لیے میکانزم پرسختی سے عملدرآمد کے لیے تیاری مکمل کرلی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ پلاسٹک کا استعمال کینسر اور دیگرمہلک بیماریوں کا موجب ،پلاسٹک کااستعمال ماحولیاتی آلودگی کو بڑھارہا ہے،5 جون سے پلاسٹک کی غیرقانونی مصنوعات بنانے والی فیکٹریوں کے خلاف کریک ڈاؤن کا اغاز کیا جاۓ گا،اس سے قبل بارہا نوٹسز ارسال کیے جاچکے ہیں۔
مریم اورنگزیب کا کہنا ہے کہ دی گئی ڈیڈ لائن کے بعد ہوٹلوں، ریسٹورنٹس اوردیگرفوڈ پوائنٹس پر گاہکوں کوپلاسٹک بیگ میں کھانا دینے پر سخت پابندی ہوگی، خلاف ورزی کرنے والے ہوٹلوں کے خلاف مکمل کریک ڈاؤن ہوگا،مالکان کے خلاف قانونی کارروائی اوربھاری جرمانے ہوں گے۔
ترجمان پنجاب حکومت کا کہنا ہے کہ قانون کے مطابق 75 مائیکرون سے کم حجم کے پولیتھین بیگز کے استعمال اورسنگل یوز پلاسٹک کے برتنوں پر مکمل پابندی یے، پلاسٹک کے عدم استعمال پرعوام کے لیے ’پلاسٹک موت ہے‘ کے موضوع پرآگاہی مہم کا آغاز کیاجاۓ گا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ پبلک سروس میسجز سوشل میڈیا کے ذریعے واٸرل کیے جاٸیں گے، شاپنگ مالز،دفاتر بس سٹینڈز،پارکس، ٹرانسپورٹس،میٹرو بسوں اور عوامی جگہوں پر پلاسٹک کی پابندی کے حوالے سے تحریری پیغامات چسپاں کیے جائیں گے۔
مریم اورنگ زیب کامزید کہنا تھاکہ پلاسٹک بیگز کی جگہ کاٹن بیگز یامتبادل ذرائع کی تیاری، پروڈیکشن ،خریدوفروخت اوراستعمال کو فروغ دیا جائے گا، میڈیا کو ’پلاسٹک موت ہے‘ کی آگاہی مہم میں اپنا حصہ ڈالنے کی درخواست ہے۔

Maryam Aurangzeb says that after the given deadline, hotels, restaurants and other food points will be strictly banned from giving food to customers in co-plastic bags, there will be a complete crackdown against the violating hotels, legal action will be taken against the owners and heavy fines will be imposed. .
The spokesperson of the Punjab government says that according to the law, the use of polythene bags of less than 75 microns and single-use plastic utensils will be completely banned. An awareness campaign will be launched on the topic of ‘plastic is death’ for the people on non-use of plastic. .
He said that public service messages will be circulated through social media, written messages will be pasted in shopping malls, offices, bus stands, parks, transports, metro buses and public places regarding plastic ban.
Maryam Aurangzeb Kamzaid said that instead of plastic bags, the production, production, sale and use of cotton bags or alternative sources will be promoted.
