ترجمان نے کہا کہ ذہنی امراض کے شکار قیدیوں کیلئے علاج معالجے کی سہولت فراہم کی گئی ہے، قیدیوں کیلئے سزا و جزا کے نظام کو سسٹم اور ڈسپلن کا پابند بنایا گیا ہے ، قیدیوں کو سزا کے خلاف اپیل کا حق دینے کیلئے نظام وضع کیا گیا ہے۔
محکمہ داخلہ پنجاب کے مطابق نئے رولز میں عالمی قوانین کے مطابق غیر ملکی قیدیوں کو قونصلر کی مدد فراہم کی گئی ہے ، رولز میں تبدیلی کے بعد اب غیر ملکی قیدی اپنی زبان میں کیس کی کارروائی سن سکیں گے ، ترامیم میں قیدیوں کو صاف پانی، متوازن خوراک اور صاف ستھرا ماحول فراہم کرنے پر زور دیا گیا ہے۔

According to the Punjab Home Department, consular assistance has been provided to foreign prisoners in accordance with international laws in the new rules. After the change in the rules, foreign prisoners will now be able to hear the case proceedings in their own language. The amendments emphasize providing clean water, balanced food and a clean environment to the prisoners. The spokesperson further said that the appointment of a medical officer, psychologist and welfare officer has been made mandatory in every jail. Training of all staff has been made mandatory to make the jails safe. Under the new rules, every prisoner will be able to get the facility of a lawyer in a timely manner and with complete confidentiality.
