قبل ازیں سری لنکا کے شہر دمبولا میں ایشین کرکٹ کونسل کے زیر اہتمام ہونیوالے ویمنز ٹی 20 ایشیا کپ کے دوسرے سیمی فائنل میچ میں سری لنکن ویمنز کرکٹ ٹیم کی کپتان نے ٹاس جیت کر پاکستان کرکٹ ٹیم کی کپتان کو پہلے بیٹنگ کی دعوت دی۔ پاکستان ویمنز ٹیم نے پہلے کھیلتے ہوئے مقررہ 20 اوورز میں 4 وکٹوں کے نقصان پر 140 رنز بنائے، پاکستان ویمنز کی جانب سے منیبہ علی 37 اور گل فیروزہ 25 رنز بنا کر نمایاں رہیں۔
فاطمہ ثناء اور کپتان ندا ڈار نے 23، 23 رنز بنائے، عالیہ ریاض نے 16 اور سدرہ امین نے 10 رنز بنائے۔ سری لنکن ویمنز ٹیم کی جانب سے ادیشکا پرابدھنی اور کاویشا دلہاری نے 2،2 وکٹیں حاصل کیں۔
