Police baton charge on lawyers outside Lahore High Court, several arrests

لاہور ہائیکورٹ کے باہر وکلاء کی احتجاجی ریلی پر پولیس کا دھاوا.
سول عدالتوں کی ماڈل ٹاؤن کچہری منتقلی اور وکلاء کیخلاف مقدمات کے معاملے پر وکلاء نے ایوان عدل سے لاہور ہائیکورٹ تک احتجاجی ریلی نکالی، احتجاجی مظاہرین جی پی او چوک پہنچے تو پولیس نے دھاوا بول دیا۔
جی پی او چوک پر پولیس اور احتجاجی وکلاء کے درمیان تصادم ہوا جس کے نتیجے میں پولیس نے مظاہرین پر لاٹھی چارج کیا اور آنسو گیس کے شیل برسائے، پولیس کی جانب سے احتجاجی مظاہرین کو منتشر کرنے کیلئے واٹرکینن کا بھی استعمال کیا گیا۔
پولیس نے مظاہرے میں شریک وکلاء کو گرفتار بھی کیا، وکلاء نے جی پی او چوک اور ہائیکورٹ کے باہر لگے بیریئرز کو ہٹا دیا، وکلاء کی جانب سے پولیس پر پتھراؤ بھی کیا گیا جس کے نتیجے میں ایس ایچ او اختر زخمی ہو گیا۔
وکلاء مظاہرین اور پولیس کے درمیان تصادم کے باعث مال روڈ پر ٹریفک کا نظام درہم برہم ہو کررہ گیا جبکہ اطراف کی سڑکوں پر ٹریفک کا شدید دباؤ ہے۔

Police raided the protest rally of lawyers outside the Lahore High Court.
Lawyers took out a protest rally from the House of Justice to Lahore High Court on the issue of transfer of civil courts to Model Town court and cases against lawyers.
There was a clash between the police and protesting lawyers at GPO Chowk, as a result of which the police lathi-charged the protestors and fired teargas shells, the police also used water cannons to disperse the protestors.
The police also arrested the lawyers participating in the protest, the lawyers removed the barriers outside the GPO Chowk and the High Court, the lawyers also pelted the police with stones as a result of which SHO Akhtar was injured.
Due to the clash between the lawyers protestors and the police, the traffic system on Mall Road has become disrupted while there is heavy traffic pressure on the surrounding roads.
