24th meeting of the provincial cabinet; approval of dozens of important tasks

پنجاب کی وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز کی زیرصدارت صوبائی کابینہ کے اجلاس میں درجنوں اہم کاموں کی منظوری دی گئی، جن میں مرغی کے گوشت کی قیمت کم کروانے کیلئے پولٹری مالکان کیخلاف سخت اقدامات کرنے کی ہدایت کی گئی۔
پنجاب کی وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز کی زیر صدارت صوبائی کابینہ کا 24واں اجلاس ہوا، جس میں پنجاب میں سپیشل افراد، بزرگ اور طلبہ کے لئے مفت سفر کی سہولت کی منظوری دی گئی۔ اجلاس میں طلبہ کے لئے ٹرانسپورٹ کارڈ جاری کرنے کی تجویز کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔
وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے چکن کے نرخ کم کرنے کے لئے موثر اقدامات کی ہدایت کی۔ اجلاس میں جنسی جرائم کیلئے سپیشل انوسٹی گیشن یونٹس کے قیام کی منظوری دی گئی، مریم نواز نے ریپ کے واقعات کی روک تھام کے لئے اقدامات یقینی بنانے کی ہدایت کی۔
اجلاس میں بھکر اور بہاولنگر میں ایئرپورٹ بنانے کا اصولی فیصلہ کیا گیا، ضلع بھکر میں ایئر ایمبولینس سروس کے لیے ایئر اسٹرپ کی تعمیر کے فنڈز کی منظوری دی گئی، اور پنجاب کی ایئر لائن سروس کے آغاز کی تجویز کا جائزہ لیا گیا ۔
وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے ٹریفک چالان اور جرمانے کی وصولی یقینی بنانے کا حکم دیا، اور ٹریفک چالان جرمانے کی عدم ادائیگی پر زیروٹالرنس پالیسی اپنانے کی ہدایت کی۔ اس کے علاوہ وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے لیگل ریفامز کے لئے پلان طلب کرلیا۔ اجلاس میں کابینہ نے نئے ایڈووکیٹ جنرل امجد پرویز کی تعیناتی کا خیر مقدم کیا۔
مریم نواز نے اجلاس سے گفتگو میں کہا کہ حکومت آتے ہی سفارشوں کی لائن لگ گئی لیکن کسی بھی سفارش پر عمل نہیں کیا، لاء آفیسرز کی 100فیصد میرٹ پر تعیناتی ہونی چاہیے، بھرتی پر انگلی نہیں اٹھنی چاہیے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ زیادتی کے واقعات کا سن کر سرشرم سے جھک جاتا ہے۔
وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے کہا کہ پنک سالٹ پاکستان کا ہے صرف پیکجنگ کرکے فائدہ دوسرے ممالک اٹھارہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا شکر ہے کہ شہریوں نے نگہبان رمضان پر نہایت مثبت رسپانس دیا ہے۔ 25لاکھ 64ہزار گھرانوں کو نگہبان رمضان2025 ء کے چیک مل چکے ہیں۔ خوشی ہوئی کہ وفاق اور دیگر صوبوں نے پنجاب کے رمضان پیکج کو فالو کیا۔
مریم نواز نے کہا کہ پہلی بار رمضان میں قیمتیں کنٹرول میں رہیں، لائنز نہیں لگی اوردھکم پیل نہیں ہوئی، 15سال میں سب سے سستا رمضان بازار لگانے پر سلمیٰ بٹ اورپوری ٹیم کو شاباش دیتی ہوں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جلد 1.5 ملین گھرانوں کو راشن کارڈ دینے جارہے ہیں۔ وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے عیدالفطر پراشیائے خوردنوش کے نرخ پر کنٹرول رکھنے کی ہدایت کی۔
صوبائی کابینہ نے 40ہزار سپیشل طلبہ کو وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز کی طرف سے عید گفٹ دینے پر خراج تحسین پیش کیا ۔ اس موقع پر طلبہ کے لئے گریڈ نگ سسٹم کے لئے ورلڈ بینک سے معاہدہ سائن کرنے کی منظوری بھی دی گئی ۔
اجلاس میں پنجاب فرٹیلائزر کنٹرول ایکٹ کی خلاف ورزی پر جرمانے بڑھا دیئے گئے، ناجائزہ اسلحہ کے تدارک کے لئے پنجاب آرمز آرڈیننس کی خلاف ورزی پر جرمانے اور سزا مزید سخت کردی گئی۔ اس کے علاوہ پیدائش اور ڈیٹھ رجسٹریشن سرٹیفکیٹ کی فیس ایک سال کے لئے معاف کر دی گئی۔
جلاس میں نادار اور مستحق افراد کو مفت قانونی امداد یقینی بنانے کے لئے پنجاب لیگل ایڈ رولز میں ترمیم کی منظوری دی گئی۔ وزیراعلیٰ مریم نواز نے پنجاب میں چاول کی دو فصلیں کاشت کرنے کی پابندی کی تجویز کو مسترد کر دیا۔
اجلاس میں 664 بصارت سے محروم افراد (VIPs) کو ڈیلی ویجز پر ایڈجسٹ کرنے کی منظوری دی گئی، بصارت سے محروم افراد (VIPs) کی مزید سماجی شمولیت کے لئے تجاویز کی بھی منظوری دے دی گئی ۔ اس کے علاوہ پنجاب کرائم کنٹرول ڈیپارٹمنٹ میں 3904 آسامیوں کے قیام کی منظوری دی گئی ۔
اجلاس میں شیخ زید میڈیکل کالج/ہسپتال، رحیم یار خان کے نئے کارڈیک سینٹر کے لئے ایڈہاک/کنٹریکٹ بنیادوں پر بھرتیوں کی اجازت کی منظوری دی گئی۔ پنجاب لائف انشورنس کمپنی (PLIC) میں کلیدی عہدوں پر بھرتی کے لئے سلیکشن کمیٹی کی منظوری دی گئی۔اس کے علاوہ محکمہ خزانہ کے سپیشلائزڈ یونٹ میں خالی آسامیوں پر نئی بھرتیوں کی بھی منظوری دے دی گئی۔
اجلاس میں نواز شریف سینٹر آف ایکسی لینس فار ارلی چائلڈ ایجوکیشن، چلڈرن لائبریری کمپلیکس لاہور کے لئے 32 نئی آسامیوں کے قیام کی منظوری دی گئی۔ فسادات سے نمٹنے کے لئے 2ہزار نفری پر مشتمل رائٹ مینجمنٹ (Riot Management) پولیس کے قیام کی منظوری، کرائم کنٹرول ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے قیام کی منظوری بھی دے دی گئی۔

The provincial cabinet meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved dozens of important tasks, including strict action against poultry owners to reduce the price of chicken meat.
The 24th meeting of the provincial cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which free travel facilities for special people, senior citizens and students in Punjab were approved. The meeting reviewed the proposal to issue transport cards for students.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed effective measures to reduce the price of chicken. The meeting approved the establishment of special investigation units for sexual crimes, Maryam Nawaz directed to ensure measures to prevent rape incidents.
The meeting took a decision in principle to build airports in Bhakkar and Bahawalnagar, approved funds for the construction of an air strip for the air ambulance service in Bhakkar district, and reviewed the proposal to start Punjab’s airline service.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered to ensure the collection of traffic challans and fines, and directed to adopt a zero-tolerance policy for non-payment of traffic challan fines. In addition, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz sought a plan for legal reforms. In the meeting, the cabinet welcomed the appointment of the new Advocate General Amjad Pervez.
Speaking to the meeting, Maryam Nawaz said that as soon as the government came to power, a line of recommendations was made but none of the recommendations were implemented, law officers should be appointed on 100 percent merit, no finger should be raised on recruitment. She said that one bows down with shame after hearing about the incidents of abuse.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that Pink Salt belongs to Pakistan, other countries are only benefiting by packaging it. She said that she is grateful to Allah Almighty that the citizens have given a very positive response to Nighaban Ramadan. 2.564 million households have received checks for Nighaban Ramadan 2025. Happy that the federation and other provinces followed Punjab’s Ramadan package.
Maryam Nawaz said that for the first time in Ramadan, prices remained under control, there were no lines and there was no panic, I congratulate Salma Butt and the entire team for setting up the cheapest Ramadan bazaar in 15 years. She said that ration cards are going to be given to 1.5 million families soon. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to control the prices of food items for Eid-ul-Fitr.
The provincial cabinet paid tribute to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for giving Eid gifts to 40,000 special students. On this occasion, approval was also given to sign an agreement with the World Bank for a grading system for students.
In the meeting, fines were increased for violation of the Punjab Fertilizer Control Act, fines and punishments were made more severe for violation of the Punjab Arms Ordinance to curb illegal weapons. In addition, the fees for birth and death registration certificates were waived for one year.
The meeting approved amendments to the Punjab Legal Aid Rules to ensure free legal aid to the poor and deserving people. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz rejected the proposal to ban the cultivation of two crops of rice in Punjab.
The meeting approved the adjustment of 664 visually impaired persons (VIPs) on daily wages, and proposals for further social inclusion of visually impaired persons (VIPs) were also approved. In addition, the establishment of 3904 posts in the Punjab Crime Control Department was approved.
The meeting approved the permission for recruitment on ad hoc/contract basis for the new Cardiac Center of Sheikh Zayed Medical College/Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan. The selection committee was approved for recruitment to key positions in the Punjab Life Insurance Company (PLIC). In addition, new recruitments were also approved on vacant posts in the Specialized Unit of the Finance Department.
The meeting approved the creation of 32 new posts for the Nawaz Sharif Center of Excellence for Early Child Education, Children’s Library Complex Lahore. Approval was also given for the establishment of a 2,000-strong Riot Management Police to deal with riots, and the establishment of a Crime Control Department.
