پاکستان تحریک انصاف (پی ٹی آئی) نے پارٹی رہنما اور ایم این اے شیر افضل مروت کی بنیادی رکنیت ختم کر دی۔پاکستان تحریک انصاف کے ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری جنرل فردوس شمیم نقوی کے دستخطوں سے جاری اعلامیے میں کہا گیا ہے کہ شیر افضل مروت نوٹس پیریڈ پر تھے۔
اعلامیے کے مطابق نوٹس پیریڈ کے دوران انضباطی کمیٹی نے محسوس کیا کہ شیر افضل مروت کو پارٹی ضوابط کا کوئی خیال نہیں ہے، شیرافضل مروت خود کو پارٹی قوانین سے بالاتر سمجھتے ہیں۔
تحریک انصاف کے اعلامیے میں مزید کہا گیا کہ اگر شیر افضل مروت ایک عزت دار شخص ہیں تو وہ قومی اسمبلی کی رکنیت سے بھی استعفیٰ دے دیں۔شیرافضل مروت کو متنازع بیانات دینے کے بعد جولائی کے مہینے میں پارٹی نے شوکاز نوٹس جاری کیا تھا جس پر شیر افضل مروت کی جانب سے شوکاز نوٹس کا جواب دیا گیا لیکن پارٹی نے ان کا جواب غیر تسلی بخش قرار دیا تھا۔
شیر افضل مروت کو جاری نوٹس میں کہا گیا تھا کہ آپ نے کسی بھی شوکاز کا اطمینان بخش جواب نہیں دیا، آپ کے پارٹی رہنماؤں کیخلاف دیے گئے بیانات کو نظر انداز نہیں کیا جا سکتا، تاہم بانی پی ٹی آئی نے پارٹی قیادت کو پارٹی پالیسی کی خلاف ورزی کرنے والوں کے خلاف ایکشن کا اختیار دے رکھا ہے۔
