Shikarpur: A prisoner died due to alleged torture in the district jail

شکارپور کی ڈسٹرکٹ جیل میں مبینہ تشدد کے نتیجے میں قیدی کی ہلاکت کی خبر سامنے آئی ہے۔ جاں بحق قیدی کی شناخت واحد بخش چاچڑ کے نام سے ہوئی۔
ذرائع کے مطابق جیل انتظامیہ نے قیدی کی موت کے اسباب سے متعلق تفصیلات دینے سے گریز کیا ہے جبکہ مبینہ طور پر جیل کے اندر قیدی پر تشدد کیا گیا جس کے نتیجے میں اس کی موت واقع ہوئی۔
جیل انتظامیہ کی جانب سے قیدی کے ورثا کو اطلاع دینے کی بجائے، لاش نیو فوجداری پولیس کے حوالے کی گئی اور سول ہسپتال کے سرد خانے میں رکھوادی گئی۔
سول ہسپتال کے سرد خانے کے باہر سکیورٹی اہلکار تعینات کر دیے گئے ہیں تاکہ کسی قسم کے ناخوشگوار واقعات سے بچا جا سکے۔

The news of the death of a prisoner as a result of the alleged torture in Shikarpur District Jail has come to light. The deceased prisoner was identified as Vahid Bakhsh Chachar.
According to the sources, the jail administration has refrained from giving the details regarding the cause of death of the prisoner, while it is alleged that the prisoner was tortured inside the jail as a result of which his death took place.
Instead of informing the prisoner’s relatives by the jail administration, the body was handed over to the New Criminal Police and kept in the cold room of the Civil Hospital.
Security personnel have been posted outside the cold room of Civil Hospital to avoid any untoward incident.
