Senate approves 27th Constitutional Amendment with two-thirds majority

سینیٹ نے 27 ویں آئینی ترمیم دو تہائی اکثریت سے منظور کر لی۔
سینیٹ نے 27 ویں آئینی ترمیمی بل کی 56 شقوں اور 3 شیڈول کی منظوری دی، سینیٹ میں 27 ویں آئینی ترمیم کے حق میں 64 ارکان نے ووٹ دیا۔پی پی 25، ن لیگ 20 اور 6 آزاد سینیٹرز نے آئینی ترمیم کے حق میں ووٹ دیا، ایم کیو ایم 3، اے این پی 3، باپ 4، ق لیگ کے ایک سینیٹر نے حق میں ووٹ دیا۔
پی ٹی آئی سینیٹر سیف اللہ ابڑو اور جے یو آئی کے سینیٹر احمد خان نے ترامیم کے حق میں ووٹ دیا، پی ٹی آئی، سنی اتحاد کونسل، ایم ڈبلیو ایم اور جے یو آئی ف نے ترامیم کی مخالفت کی۔
نیشنل پارٹی کے واحد سینیٹر جان محمد بلیدی اجلاس کی کارروائی سے غیر حاضر رہے، چیئرمین سینیٹ یوسف رضا گیلانی نے حق رائے دہی میں حصہ نہیں لیا، لیگی سینیٹر عرفان صدیقی علالت کے باعث اجلاس میں شریک نہ ہوسکے۔
قبل ازیں 27 ویں آئینی ترمیم کی منظوری کا عمل شروع ہونے پر ایوان میں شور شرابہ شروع ہو گیا، اپوزیشن نے احتجاج کرتے ہوئے ایجنڈے کی کاپیاں پھاڑ دیں، سینیٹر روبینہ ناز کے اصرار کے باوجود پی ٹی آئی سینیٹر سیف اللہ ابڑو احتجاج میں شریک نہیں ہوئے۔
وزیر قانون کا سینیٹ میں اظہارخیال کرتے ہوئے کہنا تھا کہ تعاون پر تمام سینیٹرز کے مشکور ہیں، میثاق جمہوریت میں آئینی عدالت کا قیام بنیادی نکتہ تھا، مشترکہ کمیٹی اجلاس میں تمام جماعتوں نے اپنی تجاویز دیں۔
اعظم نذیر تارڑ نے کہا کہ تمام سیاسی جماعتوں نے اس ترمیم کی تیاری میں کاوشیں کیں، ہم سیاسی جماعتوں کے شُکر گزار ہیں، بعض شقوں میں مشاورت کے بعد اضافہ کیا گیا ہے، یہ متوازی نہیں آئینی عدالت ہے۔
پی ٹی آئی سینیٹر سیف اللہ ابڑو نے آئینی ترمیم کی حمایت کی، جے یو آئی ف کے سینیٹر احمد خان بھی آئینی ترمیم کی حمایت میں کھڑے ہوئے، حکمران اتحاد کے علاوہ جے یو آئی ف اور پی ٹی آئی کے ایک ایک سینیٹر نے حمایت کی۔
سینیٹر عرفان صدیقی اور جان محمد بلیدی ایوان کی کارروائی کا حصہ نہیں بنے، سینیٹر ہمایوں مہمند نے سینیٹ میں اراکین قومی اسمبلی کی موجودگی پر اعتراض کیا۔

The Senate approved the 27th Constitutional Amendment with a two-thirds majority.
The Senate approved 56 clauses and 3 schedules of the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill, 64 members voted in favor of the 27th Constitutional Amendment in the Senate. PP 25, PML-N 20 and 6 independent senators voted in favor of the constitutional amendment, MQM 3, ANP 3, BAP 4, one senator from Qaim League voted in favor.
PTI Senator Saifullah Abro and JUI Senator Ahmed Khan voted in favor of the amendments, PTI, Sunni Ittehad Council, MWM and JUI-F opposed the amendments.
The only National Party senator, Jan Muhammad Buledi, was absent from the proceedings of the meeting, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani did not participate in the voting, and PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui could not attend the meeting due to illness.
Earlier, when the process of approving the 27th Constitutional Amendment began, there was a commotion in the House. The opposition tore up copies of the agenda in protest. Despite Senator Rubina Naz’s insistence, PTI Senator Saifullah Abro did not participate in the protest.
The Law Minister, while expressing his views in the Senate, said that he was grateful to all senators for their cooperation. The establishment of a constitutional court was a basic point in the Charter of Democracy. All parties made their suggestions in the joint committee meeting.
Azam Nazir Tarar said that all political parties made efforts in preparing this amendment. We are grateful to the political parties. Some clauses have been added after consultation. This is not a parallel constitutional court.
PTI Senator Saifullah Abro supported the constitutional amendment. JUI-F Senator Ahmed Khan also stood in support of the constitutional amendment. In addition to the ruling alliance, one senator each from JUI-F and PTI supported it.
Senators Irfan Siddiqui and Jan Muhammad Buledi did not participate in the proceedings of the House. Senator Humayun Mohmand objected to the presence of members of the National Assembly in the Senate.
