راول ڈیم میں پانی کی سطح بلند ہونے کے بعد سپل وے کھول دیئے گئے۔راول ڈیم کے سپل وے کھولنے سے 30 منٹ پہلے سائرن بجائے گئے اور شہریوں کو حفاظتی تدابیر اپنانے کا کہا گیا تھا۔ہ گزشتہ روز انتظامیہ نے راول ڈیم کے سپل وے کھولنے کا اعلان کیا تھا۔
ضلعی انتظامیہ کی جانب سے شہریوں سے درخواست کی گئی کہ دریا اور ندی نالوں کی طرف جانے سے اجتناب کریں۔ انتظامیہ کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ کسی بھی ایمرجنسی کی صورت میں ریسکیو ذرائع سے رابطہ کریں، نشیبی علاقوں سے مال مویشی وقتی طور پر محفوظ مقام پر لے جائیں تاکہ کسی بھی نقصان سے محفوظ رہیں۔
