Government decides to completely digitize the country’s economy

حکومت نے ملکی معیشت کو مکمل طور پر ڈیجیٹائز کرنے کا فیصلہ کر لیا، اس حوالے سے وزیراعظم نے متعلقہ وزارتوں اور اداروں کو ٹاسک سونپ دیا۔
وزیراعظم شہباز شریف کی زیر صدارت ملکی معیشت کی ڈیجیٹائزیشن پر جائزہ اجلاس منعقد ہوا، جس میں فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ ملکی معیشت کو مکمل طور پر ڈیجیٹل نظام پر منتقل کیا جائے گا، اس مقصد کیلئے وزیراعظم نے متعلقہ وزارتوں اور اداروں کو فوری ٹاسک سونپ دیئے ہیں۔
شہباز شریف نے اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ملکی معیشت کی بہتری اور غیر رسمی مساوی معیشت کا خاتمہ حکومت کے اصلاحات کے ایجنڈے کا کلیدی جزو ہے، اصلاحات کو مربوط اور اداروں کی سطح پر کر رہے ہیں تاکہ تبدیلی پائیدار اور دیر پا ہو، پاکستان کی ترقی کیلئے نظام کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کر رہے ہیں۔
وزیراعظم نے ان تمام اقدامات کے نفاذ اور نگرانی کیلئے فی الفور ایک ورکنگ گروپ تشکیل دینے کی ہدایت کی، انہوں نے متعلقہ حکام کو ملکی معیشت کی ڈیجیٹائزیشن کیلئے فی الفور ایک متحرک ورکنگ گروپ قائم کرنے کی ہدایت کر دی۔
شہباز شریف نے رمضان پیکیج کی ترسیل کیلئے ڈیجیٹل والٹ کے کامیاب نظام کو سراہا اور اس کو مزید سیکٹرز میں استعمال کرنے کی ہدایات دیں۔
اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ حال ہی میں وزیراعظم کی ہدایت پر رمضان پیکیج کو مکمل طور پر ڈیجیٹل طریقے سے لوگوں تک پہنچایا گیا، اجلاس کو معیشت کی ڈیجیٹائزیشن کیلئے جاری اقدامات اور مستقبل کے اقدامات اور تجاویز پر بریفنگ دی گئی۔
اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ اسلام آباد میں آئی سی ٹی ایپلی کیشن کا اجراء کیا گیا ہے جس میں 150 سے زائد حکومتی خدمات میسر ہیں، راست گیٹ وے کے ذریعے ادائیگیوں کے حجم میں خاطر خواہ اضافہ ہوا ہے جبکہ حکومت سٹیٹ بینک کے ساتھ مل کر اس کا روزمرہ کی ٹرانزیکشنز میں استعمال بڑھانے کیلئے اقدامات تیز کر رہی ہے، اجلاس کو حکومت کے 5 نکاتی لائحہ عمل کے حوالے سے بھی بریفنگ دی گئی۔
اجلاس میں حکومت ڈیجیٹل ادائیگیوں کی وصولی یقینی بنانے، کیش کے مقابلے ڈیجیٹل ادائیگیوں کی ترغیب دینے کیلئے خریداروں اور کاروباروں کو مختلف سہولیات دینے، حکومتی ادائیگیوں کو مکمل طور پر ڈیجیٹائیز کرنے اور اس حوالے سے آگاہی کے ساتھ ساتھ ڈیٹا کی مانیٹرنگ کے لائحہ عمل سے بھی آگاہ کیا گیا۔
اجلاس کو یہ بھی بتایا گیا کہ وفاقی حکومت کی تمام تر سرکاری ادائیگیاں بشمول تنخواہ اور دیگر بلنگ ڈیجیٹل نظام کے تحت کی جا رہی ہیں۔
اجلاس میں وفاقی وزراء احد خان چیمہ، علی پرویز ملک، شزا فاطمہ خواجہ، وزیرِ مملکت بلال اظہر کیانی، گورنر سٹیٹ بینک جمیل احمد اور متعلقہ اعلیٰ حکام نے شرکت کی۔

The government has decided to completely digitize the country’s economy, in this regard, the Prime Minister has assigned tasks to the relevant ministries and institutions.
A review meeting on the digitization of the country’s economy was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which it was decided that the country’s economy will be completely transferred to a digital system, for this purpose, the Prime Minister has assigned immediate tasks to the relevant ministries and institutions.
Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said that improving the country’s economy and eliminating the informal economy are key components of the government’s reform agenda, reforms are being carried out at the level of institutions so that the change is sustainable and long-lasting, and the system is being built on modern lines for the development of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister directed the immediate formation of a working group to implement and monitor all these measures, he directed the relevant authorities to immediately establish a dynamic working group for the digitization of the country’s economy.
Shahbaz Sharif appreciated the successful system of digital wallet for the delivery of Ramadan package and gave instructions to use it in more sectors.
The meeting was informed that recently, on the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Ramadan package was delivered to the people completely digitally. The meeting was briefed on the ongoing steps for the digitization of the economy and future steps and suggestions.
The meeting was informed that an ICT application has been launched in Islamabad, in which more than 150 government services are available, the volume of payments through Rast Gateway has increased significantly, while the government, in collaboration with the State Bank, is accelerating steps to increase its use in daily transactions. The meeting was also briefed on the government’s 5-point action plan.
The meeting was briefed on the government’s plans to ensure the collection of digital payments, provide various facilities to buyers and businesses to encourage digital payments over cash, completely digitize government payments and create awareness in this regard, as well as the plan for monitoring data.
The meeting was also informed that all government payments of the federal government, including salaries and other billing, are being made under the digital system.
Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Ali Pervaiz Malik, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani, Governor State Bank Jamil Ahmed and relevant senior officials attended the meeting.
