Approval of hike in basic electricity tariff

وفاقی کابینہ نے عوام پر مزید بوجھ ڈالتے ہوئے بجلی کے بنیادی ٹیرف میں اضافے کی منظوری دے دی۔
ذرائع کے مطابق وفاقی کابینہ سے سرکولیشن کے ذریعے سمری کی منظوری لی گئی، نیپرا نے بجلی کے بنیادی ٹیرف میں 5.72 روپے فی یونٹ اضافے کا فیصلہ حکومت کو بھجوایا تھا۔
ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ نیپرا کی جانب سے بجلی کے بنیادی ٹیرف میں اضافے کا فیصلہ مالی سال 25-2024 کیلئے اور بجلی ٹیرف میں اضافے کا اطلاق یکم جولائی 2024 سے کرنے کا فیصلہ دیا گیا تھا۔
ذرائع کا بتانا ہے کہ نیپرا نے بجلی کا اوسط بنیادی ٹیرف 29.78 سے بڑھا کر 35.50 روپے فی یونٹ منظور کیا تھا جبکہ وفاقی کابینہ کا فیصلہ یکساں ٹیرف کیلئے نیپرا کو بھجوایا جائے گا۔
