Islamophobia is a threat to world peace and interfaith harmony: Maryam Nawaz

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامو فوبیا عالمی امن اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کیلئے خطرہ ہے۔انسداد اسلاموفوبیا کے عالمی دن پر اپنے ایک پیغام میں وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز کا کہنا تھا کہ دنیا بھر میں مسلمانوں کو درپیش امتیازی سلوک، نفرت اور تعصب قابل مذمت ہے، اقوام متحدہ کی جنرل اسمبلی میں اسلاموفوبیا کے خلاف قرارداد پیش کرکے پاکستان نے آواز اٹھائی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلام دینِ رحمت ہے جو امن، محبت، برداشت اور انسانی عظمت کا درس دیتا ہے، بدقسمتی سے اسلام اور مسلمانوں کے خلاف پراپیگنڈا کا رجحان پنپ رہا ہے، اسلاموفوبیا عالمی امن اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کے لیے ایک خطرہ ہے، اسلاموفوبیا کے خاتمے کی ہر کاوش کو سراہتے ہیں، اقوام متحدہ اور تمام عالمی اداے نفرت انگیز رویوں کے خلاف مؤثر اور یقینی اقدامات کریں۔
مریم نواز کا کہنا تھا کہ اقوام عالم کشمیری، فلسطینی اور دیگر مسلمانوں کے جان، مال ،حقوق اور عزت و وقار کی تحفظ کو یقینی بنائے ، پنجاب حکومت مذہبی ہم آہنگی اور اقلیتوں کے احترام کو فروغ دینے کے لیے ہر ممکن اقدامات کر رہی ہے، ایسا پنجاب چاہتے ہیں جہاں ہر مذہب اور مسلک کو مساوی حقوق اور عزت حاصل ہو۔
وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے مزید کہا کہ اسلامو فوبیا سے نمٹنے کےلئے دنیا کو اسلام کے حقیقی تشخص سے روشناس کرایا جائے ، ہر قسم کی منافرت کے خلاف آواز اٹھانا ضروری ہے ، پائیدار عالمی امن کےلئے سب کو اپنا کردار ادا کرنا ہوگا۔

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that Islamophobia is a threat to world peace and interfaith harmony. In a message on the International Day against Islamophobia, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the discrimination, hatred and prejudice faced by Muslims around the world are condemnable. Pakistan raised its voice by presenting a resolution against Islamophobia in the United Nations General Assembly.
She said that Islam is a religion of mercy that teaches peace, love, tolerance and human dignity. Unfortunately, the trend of propaganda against Islam and Muslims is growing. Islamophobia is a threat to world peace and interfaith harmony. We appreciate every effort to eliminate Islamophobia. The United Nations and all international organizations should take effective and decisive steps against hateful attitudes.
Maryam Nawaz said that the international community should ensure the protection of the lives, property, rights and honor and dignity of Kashmiris, Palestinians and other Muslims. The Punjab government is taking all possible steps to promote religious harmony and respect for minorities. We want a Punjab where every religion and sect enjoys equal rights and respect. The Punjab Chief Minister further said that to deal with Islamophobia, the world should be made aware of the true identity of Islam, it is necessary to raise voice against all kinds of hatred, everyone has to play their role for sustainable world peace.
