Instructions for early implementation of memorandums of understanding and agreements signed with Azerbaijan

وزیراعظم شہباز شریف نے آذربائیجان سے دستخط شدہ مفاہمتی یادداشتوں و معاہدوں کو جلد عملی جامہ پہنانے کی ہدایت کر دی۔
وزیر اعظم نے حالیہ دورہ آذربائیجان پر جائزہ اجلاس میں وزارت تجارت کو پاکستان اور آذربائیجان کے مابین موجودہ تجارت کے حجم کو 2 ارب ڈالر پر پہنچانے کیلئے جامع لائحہ عمل پیش کرنے کی ہدایت کی۔
شہباز شریف نے آذربائیجان کے صدر کی جانب سے پاکستان میں 2 ارب ڈالر کی سرمایہ کاری کے اعلان کے حوالے سے نائب وزیراعظم و وزیر خارجہ اسحاق ڈار کی زیر نگرانی کمیٹی بھی قائم کر دی، کمیٹی توانائی و بنیادی ڈھانچے کے شعبوں میں معاہدوں کے لئے تیاری یقینی بنائے گی۔
وزیراعظم شہباز شریف نے آذربائیجان کے صدر کے آئندہ ماہ متوقع دورہ پاکستان سے پہلے ترجیحی بنیادوں پر تمام تر تیاریاں مکمل کرنے کی ہدایت کر دی جبکہ آذربائیجان سمیت ایسے تمام ممالک، جہاں پاکستان کے ساتھ تجارت کی وسیع استعداد موجود ہے، میں ٹریڈ افسران کی تعیناتی کی ہدایت بھی کر دی۔
اجلاس سے گفتگو میں وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور آذربائیجان کے مابین دیرینہ برادرانہ تعلقات ہیں جو دہائیوں پر محیط ہیں، پاکستان اور وسط ایشیائی ریاستوں کے مابین تجارت و سرمایہ کاری کی وسیع استعداد سے بھرپور فائدہ اٹھانے کیلئے ترجیحی بنیادوں پر اقدامات کر رہے ہیں۔
وزیراعظم کو باکو میں منعقدہ مشترکہ بزنس فورم کے حوالے سے آگاہ کرتے ہوئے بتایا گیا کہ فورم میں 83 پاکستانی جبکہ 101 آذربائیجان کی کمپنیوں نے شرکت کی۔
اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ وزیراعظم کے دورے کے دوران پاکستان اور آذربائیجان کے مابین دو طرفہ تعاون کے فروغ کے حوالے سے 13 مفاہمتی یادداشتوں و معاہدوں پر دستخط ہوئے تھے۔
اجلاس میں نائب وزیراعظم و وزیر خارجہ اسحاق ڈار، وفاقی وزراء احد خان چیمہ، جام کمال خان، عبدالعلیم خان، ڈاکٹر مصدق ملک، معاون خصوصی طارق فاطمی اور متعلقہ اعلی حکام نے شرکت کی۔

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed to implement the MoUs and agreements signed with Azerbaijan at the earliest.
In a review meeting on the recent visit to Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Commerce to present a comprehensive action plan to increase the current trade volume between Pakistan and Azerbaijan to $2 billion.
Shahbaz Sharif also formed a committee under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar regarding the announcement of $2 billion investment in Pakistan by the President of Azerbaijan. The committee will ensure preparations for agreements in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed to complete all preparations on priority basis before the expected visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Pakistan next month, while also directing the deployment of trade officers in all countries, including Azerbaijan, where there is a vast potential for trade with Pakistan.
Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan have long-standing brotherly relations spanning decades, and are taking steps on a priority basis to fully benefit from the vast potential for trade and investment between Pakistan and the Central Asian states.
The Prime Minister was briefed about the joint business forum held in Baku and was informed that 83 Pakistani and 101 Azerbaijani companies participated in the forum.
The meeting was informed that 13 MoUs and agreements were signed between Pakistan and Azerbaijan during the Prime Minister’s visit to promote bilateral cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Jam Kamal Khan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Dr. Mosaddiq Malik, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and relevant senior officials attended the meeting.
