Ramzan Sugar Mills reference: Verdict reserved on Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza’s acquittal plea

لاہور کی اینٹی کرپشن عدالت نے رمضان شوگر ملز کرپشن کیس میں وزیراعظم شہباز شریف اور حمزہ شہباز کی بریت کی درخواست پر فیصلہ محفوظ کر لیا۔
اینٹی کرپشن عدالت کے جج سردار محمد اقبال ڈوگر نے وزیراعظم شہباز شریف اور حمزہ شہباز کے خلاف رمضان شوگر ملز ریفرنس پر سماعت کی، عدالت نے شہباز شریف اور حمزہ شہباز کی بریت کی درخواست پر فیصلہ محفوظ کر لیا، فیصلہ 6 فروری کو سنایا جائے گا۔
شہباز شریف اور حمزہ شہباز کے وکیل امجد پرویز نے موقف اختیار کیا کہ رکن پنجاب اسمبلی مولانا رحمت اللہ کی درخواست پر گندے نالے کے لیے ڈائریکیٹو جاری کیا گیا، اس پراجیکٹ کو پنجاب اسمبلی نے منظور کیا، ڈائریکٹو کے اجراء میں حمزہ شہباز کا کوئی کردار نہیں مفروضوں پر بات نہیں ہو سکتی، انجنئیر نے یہ نتیجہ نکالا تھا کہ گندہ نالہ رمضان شوگر ملز کو فائدہ دینے کے لیے بنایا گیا ہے، یہ کیس سیاسی بنیادوں پر بنایا گیا ہے اس میں گواہوں کو طلب کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں۔
پراسیکیوشن کے وکیل محمد وسیم نے دلائل میں کہا کہ ہمارے پاس کوئی ایسا گواہ نہیں ہے جسے پیش کرنا ہے، تمام گواہان کے بیانات ریکارڈ ہو چکے ہیں، تمام شواہد فائل کے ساتھ لگائے ہوئے ہیں، اس کیس میں سات گواہان کے بیانات ریکارڈ کیے گئے ہیں، مدعی ذوالفقار علی نے بیان ریکارڈ کروایا ہے کہ اس نے کوئی درخواست نہیں دی، مدعی نے بیان دیا کہ 1991 میں گندہ نالہ اپنے خرچ پر بنانے کا حلف نامہ سے متعلق کوئی علم نہیں ہے۔
عدالت نے سرکاری وکیل سے مکالمے میں کہا ہے کہ آپ کیا کہتے ہیں کہ کیا دوسرے گواہوں کے بیانات ہونے چاہئیں یا نہیں؟ سرکاری وکیل نے کہا کہ اس میں جو متعلقہ ایم پی اے تھے وہ فوت ہو گئے ہیں، اس میں تمام گواہ سرکاری ہیں، اس کیس میں بہت سے گواہ غیر متعلقہ ہیں، میرے حساب سے تو نالے کا روٹ تو صحیح بنا ہوا ہے۔
بعدازاں عدالت میں سرکاری وکیل کی جانب سے دلائل مکمل کر لیے گئے اور عدالت نے کیس کی سماعت 6 فروری تک ملتوی کردی، عدالت نے شہباز شریف اور حمزہ شہباز کی بریت کی درخواست پر فیصلہ محفوظ کر لیا، فیصلہ 6 فروری کو سنایا جائے گا۔

Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz’s lawyer Amjad Pervez took the stand that the directive for the sewage drain was issued on the request of Member of Punjab Assembly Maulana Rehmatullah, this project was approved by the Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz had no role in the issuance of the directive, assumptions cannot be discussed, the engineer had concluded that the sewage drain was built to benefit Ramzan Sugar Mills, this case was built on political grounds, there is no need to call witnesses in this.
Prosecution lawyer Muhammad Waseem said in his arguments that we do not have any witnesses to present, the statements of all the witnesses have been recorded, all the evidence is attached to the file, the statements of seven witnesses have been recorded in this case, the plaintiff Zulfiqar Ali has recorded a statement that he did not make any application, the plaintiff stated that he has no knowledge about the affidavit of building a sewage drain at his own expense in 1991.
The court has said in a conversation with the public prosecutor that what do you say that the statements of other witnesses should be taken or not? The public prosecutor said that the MPAs who were involved in this have died, all the witnesses in this are public, many witnesses in this case are irrelevant, according to my calculations, the route of the drain has been made correctly.
Later, the arguments of the public prosecutor were completed in the court and the court adjourned the hearing of the case until February 6. The court reserved its decision on the acquittal petition of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz. The decision will be announced on February 6.
