لاہور:پاکستان ویمنز ٹیم کی سابق کپتان بسمہ معروف نے کرکٹ سے فوری ریٹائرمنٹ کا اعلان کردیا۔بسمہ معروف نے 276 بین الاقوامی میچوں میں پاکستان کی نمائندگی کی جو قومی ریکارڈ ہے، انہوں نے انٹرنیشنل کرکٹ میں 6262 رنز بنائے اور 80 وکٹیں حاصل کیں۔بسمہ معروف نے کہا کہ اس کھیل کو خیرباد کہہ رہی ہوں جس سے مجھے بہت پیار ہے، کرکٹ کا یہ سفر یادگار رہا ہے  اور  یہ یادیں ہمیشہ ساتھ رہیں گی۔انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ، ساتھی کھلاڑیوں،  فیملی اور پرستاروں نے ہر قدم پر میرا ساتھ دیا۔ دوسری جانب پاکستان ویمنز کرکٹ  ڈپارٹمنٹ کی سربراہ تانیہ ملک کا کہنا ہے کہ ویمنز کرکٹ کے لیے بسمہ معروف کی خدمات ہمیشہ یاد رکھی جائیں گی۔ یاد رہے کہ ویسٹ انڈین ویمن کرکٹ ٹیم کے خلاف پاکستان ویمن کرکٹ ٹیم کی مایوس کن کارکردگی پر چیئرمین پی سی بی محسن نقوی نے ایکشن لیتے ہوئے پہلے مرحلے میں ویمن سلیکشن کمیٹی تحلیل کر دی تھی۔سیریز ہارنے پر  ویمن کرکٹ ٹیم کے ہیڈ کوچ محتشم رشید نے بھی کہا تھا کہ ہم نے جو تیاری کی تھی اس کے مطابق نہیں کھیل پائے، ورلڈ چیمپئن شپ کے پوائنٹس اہم تھے جو ہم نہ لے سکے۔

Lahore: Former captain of Pakistan women’s team Bisma Maruf announced her immediate retirement from cricket. Bisma Maruf represented Pakistan in 276 international matches which is a national record, she scored 6262 runs and took 80 wickets in international cricket. Bisma Maruf said that saying goodbye to the game that I love so much, this journey of cricket has been memorable and these memories will stay with me forever. She added that the Pakistan Cricket Board, fellow players, family and fans He supported me every step of the way. On the other hand, the head of Pakistan Women’s Cricket Department, Tania Malik, says that Bisma Maruf’s services for women’s cricket will always be remembered. It should be remembered that due to the disappointing performance of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team against the West Indian Women’s Cricket Team, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi dissolved the Women’s Selection Committee in the first stage.
