میانوالی کے تھانہ عیسیٰ خیل کی قبول خان پولیس چیک پوسٹ پر خوارجی دہشتگردوں نے حملہ کیا، جسے پنجاب پولیس نے ایک بار پھر بھرپور قوت سے ناکام بنا دیا۔ 12 سے 14 خوارجی دہشت گردوں نے رات کی تاریکی کا فائدہ اٹھا کر قبول خیل چیک پوسٹ پر راکٹ لانچرز اور ہینڈ گرنیڈز سے حملہ کیا، چیک پوسٹ پر تعینات پنجاب پولیس کے جوان الرٹ تھے، شدید جوابی فائرنگ کے نتیجے میں بزدل دہشت گردوں کا حملہ پسپا کر دیا۔
دہشت گردوں کے حملے میں چیک پوسٹ پر تعینات ایک جوان بازو پر گولی لگنے زخمی ہوا، ڈی پی او میانوالی اختر فاروق فوری طور چیک پوسٹ پہنچے، بالائی مورچے پر خود گئے، جوانوں کو حملہ ناکام بنانے پر شاباش دی۔ہ ڈی ایس پی عیسیٰ خیل اور ایس ایچ او بھاری نفری کے ساتھ پولیس چیک پوسٹ پر موجود رہے، علاقے میں سرچ آپریشن شروع کردیا گیا، مفرور دہشت گردوں کو بھاری نقصان پہنچنے کے امکانات ہیں۔
آئی جی پنجاب ڈاکٹر عثمان انور نے دہشت گردوں کا حملہ ناکام بنانے پر ڈی پی او میانوالی، چیک پوسٹ قبول خیل کے بہادر اہلکاروں کو شاباش دی، آئی جی نے بتایا کہ گزشتہ چند ماہ میں پنجاب پولیس پر دہشت گردوں کا یہ 9 واں حملہ ہے جو ناکام بنایا گیا۔
