آرمی پبلک اسکول پشاور میں10 سال قبل سفاک دہشتگردوں نے علم کی پیاس بجھانے والے معصوم بچوں کو دہشتگردی کا نشانہ بنایا، حملے میں معصوم طلباء سمیت 147 افراد شہید اور درجنوں زخمی ہوئے، سانحہ کے بعد عوام اور ریاستی ادارے متحد ہوئے اور دہشت گردی کو جڑ سے اکھاڑ پھینکا۔
16 دسمبر 2014 کو ملک کی تاریخ کا المناک واقعہ رونما ہوا، چھ دہشت گرد دیوار پھلانگ کر آرمی پبلک اسکول میں داخل ہوئے، جدید اسلحہ سے لیس اور سرکاری اہلکاروں کی وردیوں میں ملبوث دہشتگردوں نے علم کی پیاس بجھانے والے طلباء پر اندھا دھند گولیوں کی بوچھاڑ کی۔
دہشت گردوں کی فائرنگ سے معصوم طلباء اور بے گناہ اساتذہ خون میں لت پت ہوگئے، پھولوں کی خوشبو سے مہکتا اسکول چند ہی لمحوں میں بارود کی بو سے آلودہ ہوگیا۔
سیکیورٹی فورسز نے فوری طور پر پہنچ کر اے پی ایس کا گھیراؤ کیا اور کالعدم تحریک طالبان پاکستان کے چھ خودکش حملہ آوروں کو طویل آپریشن کے بعد مار ڈالا۔
درندہ صفت دہشتگردوں کے حملے میں 122 معصوم طلباء سمیت 147 افراد شہید ہوئے، دہشتگردوں سے مقابلے میں دو افسروں سمیت 9 سیکیورٹی اہلکار زخمی ہوئے۔
آرمی پبلک اسکول حملے میں ملوث 6 دہشتگردوں کو سیکیورٹی فورسز نے گرفتار کیا جنہیں ملٹری کورٹس نے موت کی سزائیں سنائی۔
سانحہ آرمی پبلک اسکول کے بعد نیشنل ایکشن پلان بنایا گیا اور قبائلی علاقوں سے دہشتگردی کا خاتمہ کیا گیا۔
شہداء کے لواحقین جب بھی اپنے پیاروں کو یاد کرتے ہیں تو غم سے نڈھال ہوجاتے ہیں تاہم جب قربانی دینے والے شہداء کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا جاتا ہے تو لواحقین کے حوصلے بڑھ جاتے ہیں۔
سانحہ آرمی پبلک اسکول کے نتیجے میں جہاں ملک سے دہشت گردی کا خاتمہ ممکن ہوا وہیں علم دشمن عناصر کے ناپاک ارادے بھی خاک میں مل گئے۔
