Government is taking priority steps to promote electric vehicles: Prime Minister

وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف نے الیکٹرک وہیکلز سے متعلق جامع فنانشل ماڈل پیش کرنے کی ہدایت کر دی۔
وزیراعظم کی زیر صدارت الیکٹرک وہیکلز کے استعمال سے متعلق اجلاس ہوا جس میں شہباز شریف نے وفاقی وزارت خزانہ اور سٹیٹ بینک سے مشاورت کی ہدایت کر دی۔
شہباز شریف نے نیشنل الیکٹرک وہیلز پالیسی نومبر میں مکمل کرنے اور ملک میں ای وہیکلز کی تیاری سے متعلق لائسنسز کے ضابطہ کار کو بہتر بنانے کی ہدایت کر دی۔
اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیرِ اعظم شہباز شریف نے کہا ہے کہ ملک میں بجلی سے چلنے والی گاڑیوں کے فروغ کے لیے حکومت ترجیحی اقدامات کر رہی ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ بجلی سے چلنے والی گاڑیوں سے پٹرول اور ڈیزل کی درآمد کی مد میں زر مبادلہ کی بچت ہو گی اور گاڑیاں ماحول دوست بھی ہوں گی۔
شہباز شریف کا کہنا ہے کہ ای وہیکلز کی پالیسی سے متعلق تمام صوبوں، وفاقی اکائیوں اور سٹیک ہولڈرز سے مشاورت کی جائے، سرکاری سکولوں کے اچھی کارکردگی دکھانے والے طلباء میں الیکٹرک بائیکس تقسیم کی جائیں گی۔
وزیرِ اعظم کا اپنے خطاب میں مزید کہنا تھا کہ آئندہ تمام وفاقی سرکاری اداروں کیلئے صرف الیکٹرک بائیکس کی خریداری کی جائے گی۔
شہباز شریف نے تمام وفاقی وزارتوں کو ہدایت جاری کرنے کے احکامات جاری کرتے ہوئے سی ڈی اے کو اسلام آباد میں الیکٹرک ٹرانسپورٹ سے متعلق پلان دینے کی ہدایت کر دی۔

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed to present a comprehensive financial model related to electric vehicles.
A meeting regarding the use of electric vehicles was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, in which Shahbaz Sharif directed consultation with the Federal Ministry of Finance and the State Bank.
Shahbaz Sharif directed to complete the National Electric Wheels Policy in November and to improve the regulation of licenses related to the production of e-vehicles in the country.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the government is taking priority measures for the promotion of electric vehicles in the country.
He said that electric vehicles will save foreign exchange on import of petrol and diesel and the vehicles will also be environment friendly.
Shahbaz Sharif says that all provinces, federal units and stakeholders should be consulted regarding the policy of e-vehicles, and electric bikes will be distributed among students who show good performance in government schools.
In his address, the Prime Minister further said that only electric bikes will be purchased for all federal government institutions in the future.
Shahbaz Sharif while issuing instructions to all the federal ministries directed the CDA to give a plan related to electric transport in Islamabad.
